Wooooww! Congrats on your new healthy daughter. It's so wonderful to hear that a your were strong in not letting the doctors and people bully you. I've also learned that when it comes to anything that was not prescribed by a doctor it's best to keep your mouth shut, and talk about what your doing only if necessary. I've also found though that it is quite easy to sway a doctor to support you in what you want if you follow a strategy. First build a good relationship with your doctor. Maybe get them to talk a little bit about themselves by complimenting a picture of a family member or ask them where they went to school. Then, you can gradually start mentioning what your doing and tell them how great you feel with it and stuff like that. After a while of being very curteous while explaining your situation it is very easy to get them to be on your side in what you want to do. I got my doctor to go from lecturing me that I needed to be careful when taking trytophan to actually going out and finding a good source for it at a store near my home and telling me to stay on it. You'd be surprised how much you can influence people if you do it right.
