Yeast Infections - 3 Most Important Things To Know
#1 – It’s a bacterial infection.
The majority of yeast infections are actually bacterial infections! If candida is going to play a role at all, the normal bacterial flora has to be gone, which means that bacterial infections are always the one component that has to be addressed, if you’re looking to successfully treat a “yeast” infection. Why medical doctors commonly call it a yeast infection is beyond anyone’s understanding, as chances are it is always going to be a bacterial infection. Why not just call it a bacterial infection? Is i ...

yes your mirena is giving this yeast infection, my wife had it the mirena for 2 years and suffer with yeast infection from about a week after putting it in, which she never got a yeast infection before. She had it remove because of weight gain and the yeast infection went away with it. She ask her doctor on numerous occasions and she said no it had nothing to do with it, but we are convince it did because of the result 2 months after removing it.

It sounds like oral thrush. I would imagine this should improve over the course of time.

Re: Candida diet - best sources of carbohydrates?
by CThomas 11 y
Hi,
There are certain types of candida diets which allow for the addition of brown rice in your candida diet.
From experience it’s the safest form of carb to eat. Many who suffer from candida have never complained of any problems whilst eating brown rice.

the doc can diagnose your gf with a yeast infection, but cannot determine whether or not you gave it to her. she could very well have developed a yeast infection all on her own as many thousands of women do all the time. while you could have passed it to her if you had had sex with a woman who had a yeast infection and then had sex with her, there is simply no way of knowing for sure how she got it. yeast infections are not STD’s even though they can be transmitted via sex.

Re: Research Paper Help

Well, in all of the research I looked at, the doctors all cured the yeast infections while the EC remained. I just don’t see how it could be a yeast infection if that is removed and then the problem continues without improvement. That simply does not make any sense to me.
Also, I never had a yeast infection, and I doubt everyone on here has. My EC isn’t really too bad, though. I think that the yeast infection is invasive, and it takes advantage of the conditions created on the lips. Plus, a lot of people get yeast infections in their mouths and don’t have EC, and most people with ...

Re: Itchy pubic and anal region, communicable to spouse
by mackenzie1 13 y
The first sign of a skin yeast infection is itchy, red skin area around the anal area for men, and in addition, in and around the reproductive area for women. Yeast infections, including skin yeast infections, begin within the digestive and reproductive tracts of the body and then spread outside the body from the endings of the digestive and reproductive tracts. Another sign of a yeast infection is a white coating on the tongue. Tea tree oil was helpful earlier on because tea tree oil has antifungal/anti-yeast properties. Tea tree oil won’t help for very long, however, if the yeast con ...

Re: Can Adrenal Fatigue cause Candida infection?
by ericbakker 11 y
There are many complex immune mechanisms involved in the interplay between a yeast infection and the adrenal glands, but suffice to say, there certainly is a correlation between them both. By treating adrenal fatigue and a yeast infection simultaneously, I have discovered in the clinic that the patient tends to recover much faster than by treating either as a stand-alone condition. Unfortunately, in the worst case scenario, neither condition is treated because both a yeast infection and adrenal fatigue were not recognized as distinct syndromes, or because the practitioner just treated the ...

Here are the two main tests to see if you should be concerned about candida and one test that relates to other health issues.
1) What is your history of yeast infections?
2) Have you recently made extensive dietary or other changes?
3) Do you have a family history of diabetes or are you a diabetic or pre-diabetic.
Here’s how those are related.
1) Almost every woman might get a yeast infection once in a great while (every 5 - 15 years). Some women NEVER get them and some women get them very often. If you’re 30 years old and this is your first yeast infection then I don’t t ...

Definately sounds like yeast infection. All the symptoms are indicating yeast.
You need to make sure that you are washing regulalry under the foreskin every day with warm water and mild soap, so that the white stuff (sebum) wouldn’t collect under the foreskin and cause infection or inflammation.

I DO AGREE THAT SUGAR IS BAD BUT PEOPLE DONT GET MASSIVE YEAST INFECTIOnS FOR SUGAR ALONE.there has to be a reason.
for me parasites caused my yeast infection.
diet for me helped temporarily but the underlying cause was a protozoa infection.
flora was very low due to parasite and then a yeast infection followed .everybodies situation is different of course.

Yeast Infections
RRR Educational by Dr.Jeff 10 y
What’s most important to note in both types of vaginal infections, bacterial vaginosis and vulvovaginal candidiasis, is that an underlying imbalance in the bacterial flora, pH, and immune response are responsible for both. If you try to eliminate either type of infection, but don’t address those underlying issues, you won’t have much success. Since the underlying issues tend to be caused by systemic imbalances, you’ll need to address vaginal infections as both a systemic and a localized imbalance.

by #46135 18 y
Sounds like a yeast infection to me too - sometimes I think I get ”almost” yeast infections - not terribly different discharge then normal but different enough to notice a difference .. not to mention the mild itching. Not the same as a full blown yeast infection.
But since you say you are itchy afer your period stops that leads me to believe that it is indeed something to do with yeast as yeast hates menstrual blood and will seem to ”clear up” during your period and then resurface afterwards.

I say yes. I suffered with recurring yeast infections when I had the Mirena. I also suffered with yeast infections when I was on the progestin only pill. I haven’t seen many women post yeast infections as a side effect. I never suffered with yeast infections like I have since I’ve been using Progestin only hormones. Get a good probiotic to help you with the yeast infections. Mine actually became a systemic problem (candidiasis). Re: Cinnamon Bark Oil
by CThomas 11 y
Cinnamon Bark oil is fine for internal yeast infection. It may pose a problem for some folk - only if used on the skin as it can cause irritation.
Having said that, there have been instances, when it can cause irritation in the stomach, intestine, and urinary tract and it can cause side effects such as diarrhea, vomiting, dizziness, drowsiness, and others. So to minimize this, it’s highly recommended that this isn’t consumed in large quantities.

Main Common Cause of Candida Yeast Infections: Acidosis
”Candida albicans is a yeast-like fungal organism found in small amount in the normal human intestinal tract. It is normally kept in balance by the body’s own beneficial bacteria. But in case of body acidosis this balance is disturbed as the overly-acidic body favors the overgrowth of C. albicans. In order to maximize effectiveness, its important to,not only change your diet (to exclude high caffeine, sugar, refined carbohydrates) As an example:

Any number of herbs (when taken in moderation) can help fight off candida. Black Walnut is great because it contains natural tannins which is great for killing of candida.
You could also try barberries (contains berberine which has anti-microbial properties). Burdock root is great for purifying the blood, echinacea is a great natural antiseptic & immune boosting herb.. and of course, there’s garlic - which is another natural antiseptic and has been known to bolster good bacteria whilst killing off bad bacteria.
