Re: Small White Spots On My Skin Getting Worse! What is it?
by irshad 15 y
I think these are skin condition vitiligo. because among other skin conditions that are responsible for white spots on skin vitiligo is the most commonest skin disease.
Normally white spots appear due the destruction of skin color producing cells called melanocytes. If these spots are increased gradually and burn white exposed to sun then this is confirm that you are suffering from skin condition vitiligo.
Second common skin condition but it is form of depigmentation in skin is Tinea Versiculor.

How Gloves In A Bottle Works
The outer layer of your skin consists of dead skin cells - it’s a protective layer designed to protect the delicate living cells of the deeper layers of skin. This layer of skin needs to stay moisturized to protect the deeper layers of skin. In order to keep the moisture (water) from leaving the outer layer of skin, the skin produces natural oils. These oils also help keep irritants away from the deeper layers of skin. Regular washing with soap or exposure to chemicals can remove these natural oils.
When the natural oil is stripped from the outer layer ...

Re: to scrub or not to scrub
by aunty 18 y
The short answer to your question is ”not to scrub” or ”...no, don’t scrub”. Here’s why...
I’m going to make the assumption that by scrubbing you mean exfoliating of the dead skin cells. Skin cells are constantly growing. As new skin cells form, the old skin cells die off. It (the skin) naturally exfoliates. This natural exfoliation is how the skin rids itself of toxins. When we bathe/cleanse the skin, we are helping the skin in the exfoliation process. As a result, exfoliation becomes an important, preventative skin care regimen for healthy skin. By exfoliating/shedding of the ...

The 'Acid Mantle' of the skin. Skin shouldnt be alkaline!

Interesting, no?
From Skin Biology:
Skin pH and the Acid Mantle
”Skin pH” is a chemist’s term meaning ”Potential of Hydrogen” and is used to measure the degree of acidity or alkalinity in the outer layers of the skin. It is measured on a scale ranging from 0 to 14 where the center of the scale, 7, is neutral (neither acid nor alkaline). A reading below 7 indicates that the substance being measured is acid and above 7 is alkaline. The pH system works in 10-fold multiples and each pH unit represents a 10-fold difference in alkalinity. For example, a soap with a pH of 10.5 has 10-times ...

What is Dry Skin Brushing?
by fastingforchange 13 y
Our skin is often called our third kidney because of its role in detoxifying the body. Many toxins leave the skin through sweating, which is why aerobic exercise, saunas, and steam baths aid in detoxification. But a common problem is that our skin is clogged with cosmetics and dead skin cells - so toxins can’t leave our bodies as easily as they’d like. Acne and boils are common signs that the skin isn’t breathing properly, and dry skin brushing is a simple technique that can help.
Our skin is our largest organ, and holistic healer Dr. Bernard Jensen tells us that our skin is actually me ...

Regarding exfoliative cheiltis, I read:
”Urea is produced naturally in the skin and causes moisture absorption and helps to rehydration of dry and scaly skin. Furthermore, urea in the Eucerin emollient cream (10% urea) penetrates to the horny layer of skin and increases the skin’s capacity to absorb moisture.”

I also have noticed that kind of extra-skin.
Crusts, which I commonly use, are necessary for the rebuilding of the skin, and have to protect the underneath skin to rebuild properly.
As meaning, this extra-skin would be a simple extension of this rough-to-touch skin of protection to, as it is said, enable the fresh under-skin to decently rebuild, even in the limit between ’normal’ and ’damaged’ skin.

This medicine contains the active ingredient fluticasone propionate, which is a type of medicine called a corticosteroid. Corticosteroids are medicines used for reducing inflammation. Inflammation of the skin happens due to the irritation of the skin, and is caused by the release of various substances that are important in the immune system. These substances cause blood vessels to widen, resulting in the irritated area becoming red, swollen, itchy and painful. When fluticasone is applied to the skin it works by acting inside the skin ...

Ordinary dry skin (xerosis) usually isn’t serious, but it can be uncomfortable and unsightly, turning plump cells into shriveled ones and creating fine lines and wrinkles. More serious dry skin conditions, such as the inherited group of disorders called ichthyosis, can sometimes be disfiguring enough to cause psychological distress.
Fortunately, most dry skin results from environmental factors that can be wholly or partially controlled. These include exposure to hot or cold weather with low humidity levels, ...

Hello,
Your skin irritation is indication that your skin has not yet fully recovered from the sun damage that caused the first degree burns. A first degree burn affects the outer layer (epidermis) of the skin. The skin is the body’s first line of defense against the elements; therefore, when the first line of defense is impaired or unhealthy, an individual becomes vulnerable to skin sensitivities and allergens.
You know that the damage to your skin was caused by an overexposure to the sun. In order to repair or heal the skin from the damage caused, you will need to make wise and i ...
