Hi, first time posting here, hopefully in the right place.

In an attempt to get rid of ammonia smelling urine, I'm going to do a waterfast. Years earlier I've done 20-30 days, but without this ammonia thing going on. Just wondering if it's safe to do with it, I've had this issue for over a year now and my body keeps telling me to do it...it keeps coming to mind recently. I do plan on drinking a lot of water beforehand.

      Hello Pathseeker,
      
      In response to one portion of your message, feeling sluggish when eating after a period of fasting is usually the result of eating food that is more digestively complex and/or more plentiful than the body is ready to optimally process. In this digestively delicate stage, juice is the ideal - as it seems you have experienced for yourself - and as much as one might desire... and once the digestive system has emerged from its slumber during the juice phase then the next stage would ideally be blended fruit and/or leafy vegetables then the next would be unblended fruits and leafy vegetables and continuing to deepen little by little from here.
      
      Eating more than we are ready at any stage will often result in sluggishness and by contrast, pacing ourselves optimally as we emerge from the fast should make us feel great every step of the way.

  I’ll just add this note. I did the 42 day Breuss fast 5 years ago. At the end of the first week my heart would gurgle at night when I laid down on the bed. Just a few gurgles but it scared me but I didn’t want to go to the hospital or stop fasting prematurely. I was detoxing not cancer cure. So I googled it. Before that I’d had heart arrhythmia for decades with a missed beat at 5 to 15+ beats per minute. BP was always below normal. Doctors said it was common. Vaccines?
  Anyway, I found that I should add more fluids like water to bulk up the bloodstream. I added a teaspoon of salt to the afternoon onion soup too. That fixed it.
  Miraculously on day 21 my bp was normal and arrhythmia stopped and has never returned. I wasn’t expecting that and it wasn’t really a concern at the time. But now I know it’s a serious thing.

Day 17 of water only fast. Question; I'm having around 10 bowel movements a day since about day 10, 8 of those BMs happen in the couple hours before bed. It's the same everyday; a few ounces of super dark and thick fluid that sinks to the bottom of the bowl and doesn't disrupt or mix with the water in the toilet, and then finish with gas/fart that pushes out a little amount of yellow fluid that floats atop the water.
I've been fasting for 20+ years and have never had this type of bowel frequency and I'm just wondering if anyone has had this experience as it's kinda worrying me because I've never had this and don't know if it's normal..
