I forgot to comment on the enzymes and probiotics. Enzymes are mainly for digestion. Unless the label on the bottle specifically says anything about probiotics, intestinal flora, acidophyllis, or any type of essential bacteria, it does not include any probiotics. Therefore it wouldn’t be a bad idea to look into getting some of the probiotics I mentioned earlier (either Primal Defense or Probiotic Advantage). Also there is a probiotic mentioned in a thread above this one that is from the U.K. It may be worth looking into.

Re: Ordering Probiotics online
by tc-12 20 y
In general I completely agree with JV about probiotics, including refrigerated probiotics, doing OK without cooling for several days. My Metagenics probiotic I once used mentions on the label that no refrigeration for up to a week will not affect activity. But where I live (Southern California), summer temperatures above 100F are not uncommon. I’ve concluded that shipment of refrigerated probiotics during such times of the year simply won’t guarantee a viable probiotic by the time it’s delivered. In Fall, Winter, and early Spring, no problem. But a few days transit in a UPS/FedEx truck in ...

However I do know they make 5 different adult probiotic formulations that vary greatly in their probiotic makeup. Their ”super bifido plus” probiotic has 10 different strains and 70 billion cpu’s per capsule, a pretty hefty amount. however, it is pricey and there are only 30 capsules to a bottle. but maybe 1 capsule a day will do the trick, so that would be a month’s supply. by plasticat 16 y
The doctor called it hapnea. I’ve looked it up and haven’t found anything on it.
I am taking high potency probiotics (2 doses of 500 billion per day= 1 trillion friendly bacteria per day.
If someone takes antibiotics and afterwards begins a high potency probiotic then it will be impossible for them to develop candida.
Do you ever take probiotics after your antibiotics? Did you take high potency probiotics? Probiotics are not all created equal (in fact most are rather useless).

Simple, she didn't kill off her probiotics first
by North 12 y
Simple, she did not kill off most of the probiotics living in her gut before she started the high sugar diet. Probiotics do eat various kinds of sugars, and as long as the probiotics are numerous enough, and have prevented candida from growing too much to begin with, the sudden high sugar diet will not cause candida overgrowth necessarily.
People who killed off most of their probiotics fare far worse when they eat a high sugar diet, as the candida yeast already have the upper hand (because the probiotics in their guts are too low in number).

the only way to know what works for you is to listen to your body!
The best probiotics are ones with at least 3 separate strains, or if you’re into it, probiotic foods like kombucha and sauerkraut. I had a lot more succes with supplement probiotics though; probiotic foods didn’t seem to work at all. I used now foods probiotic-10, there are some cheaper alternatives though.
Good luck to you, you’ll beat this :)

Re: How I cured Candida
by AngelofEventide 14 y
They tell you to take probiotics with it. My understanding is the flora-balance kills the candida, the biotin helps convert systemic candida to a form of candaida that can then be killed by the flora-balance and the probiotic then replenishes the gut. I would probably stay on the probiotics I am on now (Custom Probiotics) as I have been taking them for so long and my body is used to them. Plus they are high count, multi-strain probiotic.

Re: When to take probiotics
by elixir 13 y
Hi - it’s usually best to take probiotics on an empty stomach when you get up first thing in the morning. This allows the probiotic bacteria to pass through the stomach without triggering digestion. As you can imagine the stomach is a highly acidic environment and not a great place for probiotic bacteria to spend any time. It makes sense therefore to find a probiotic that isn’t contained in food so lactose free liquid probiotics are a good option.

Shroom,
So, If I exterminate primary infection, my immune system will kill off the large parasites, like pancreatic fluke, ascaris, and tapeworm? Whenever I take probiotics I feel better for a couple days, then I feel worse. Is this because bugs are eating probiotic, or probiotic gets burned up in stomach acid, or what. Should I wait to take good probiotic until taking nitazoxanide for two weeks. Maybe probiotic only works when bugs are dying off.

Re: hives/yeast die off?
by Dr.Jeff 15 y
If your probiotic is killing yeast, you should reconsider what you’re taking. Probiotics alone aren’t enough to eliminate fungal candida. Even probiotics and a food plan wouldn’t work. You have to balance several factors within the digestive tract and immune system. Probiotics can drive an immune response of either TH1 cells or TH2 cells. It could be that your probiotics are creating an immune response.

PROBIOTICS - ADVANCED Q & A
Question 1: Do probiotics colonize the food we eat as it gets digested and moves through our intestinal tract?
Answer 1: Yes, provided the strains used multiply faster than the time it takes the food to move through the intestinal tract. Certain strains have generation times of 2-3 hours in the intestinal tract (the time it takes them to double their number) and this is short enough to get growth in the food as it moves along. Others have much longer in vivo generation times and do not colonize the food. Ability to colonize this way may have great value in ...

Re: Candida feeding on Lacto bacteria?
by frostymug 9 y
I’ve heard many people talk about feeling ill after taking probiotics. That has never been my experience but I believe what they are saying. Why is this? Chris Kresser says that it is because these people have SIBO and the probiotics aggravates SIBO. Read what he says here:
http://chriskresser.com/supplements/digestion/
He says taking a soil based probiotic like Prescript-Assist can get the SIBO under control. Then you can take a ”normal” probiotic without problems.
This post below also confirms SIBO as causing probiotic intolerance:

A quote which touches upon what I was talking about with probiotics.
” Probiotics are actually a mixed bag with SIBO because SIBO often involves an overgrowth of D-lactate-producing probiotic species, and that causes a buildup of D-lactate in the gut, and a lot of the symptoms associated with SIBO are caused by that. So, you want to avoid in many cases taking any probiotics that have D-lactate-forming species like Lactobacillus acidophilus, which is, of course, one of the most common probiotics that people take. It is hard just to find a probiotic with Bifidobacterium lactis.
”93% of the probiotics you buy at traditional diet supplements stores will actually be dead before they even reach your digestive system. As you are aware, probiotics that are dead are worthless and will do nothing for your digestive issues and bloating. Unfortunately, many probiotic supplementation products are on the shelf for well over a year, meaning only about 32% of those probiotics survive.”

No problem with probiotics. They are high enough pH. Most are taken with food; so that the stomach acids won’t affect them. MMS should be taken away from food. The probiotics will make it into the digestive track.
I wonder about the need of probiotics while building up MMS anyway. A reason for probiotics is to establish and maintain good flora in your intestines; where you might not get enough from your diet. A Candida diet does not allow you to get probiotics from things like sour kraut or other fermented foods. Another reason is that they take up places in the intestines so tha ...

The probiotic contains 12 strains of Lactic Bacteria with 5 colonizing strains. More importantly, it contains one strain that no other probiotic has. It is good bacteria that converts green bile pigment from green color into yellow.
In your case, flush or post flush diet flushed out all beneficial bacteria(probiotics), so your gut is bacteria free. That is not good, may cause constipation.
You need probiotics infusion (probiotics enema), or fecal flora replacement enema (infusion).

Probiotics are widely recommended for the treatment of Candida - a fungal infection - because they establish large, healthy populations of friendly bacteria that compete with the Candida that is trying to take up residence in the intestine. Probiotics are also essential in the treatment and prevention of thrush, vaginal yeast infections, and athlete’s foot. Good health depends fundamentally upon the more than 400 types of friendly, symbiotic bacteria that inhabit the digestive tract.

Hi,
I’m not sure a cleanser can also be a probiotic, since the cleansers generally should be taken along with a probiotic but never at the same time to avoid killing the probiotic cells. I have found the best cleansers to be grapeseed extract and ”Yeast-Clease” by Solaray. The best probiotic by far is Pro-Biotic-3. the combinatin of these two (taken at different times)will make short work of your candida condition.

According to my Naturopath and my own research, I have Candidiasis.
In this case, I first need to kill the candida, and probably after that Probiotics will work. I don’t now yet.
If you have intestinal bacteria ( like H pylori) or yeast ( candida) or other parasites, like my case, probiotics won’t help, you first need to get rid of these problems, and then for recovery take probiotics.

Well, the easiest way is probably to buy probiotics at the healthfood store - they’re in the refridgerated section and must stay refridgerated.
Although I’ve heard of some people making kiefer (a food that contains probiotics) - though it’s not raw. To be honest, yoghurt isn’t as great a source of probiotics as the companies say they are. Most yoghurt is sweetened with sugar or artifical sweeteners, and those just cancel our the worth of the probiotics.
