Re: Sure

Ahh ok I understand now :)
I read that epsom salt could be dangerous, even life threatening, here https://www.livestrong.com/article/121914-benefits-epsom-salt-baths/ and here https://www.livestrong.com/article/121914-benefits-epsom-salt-baths/. But I read too that it helps for the flush, I think I will have to take just a bit of epsom salt ( I don’t want to die ahahah) ?
Maybe I can alternate like this ?
Week 1 : grapefruit + oil + epsom salt
Week 3: grapefruit + oil
Week 5: grapefruit + oil + epsom salt
Week 7: grapefruit + oil + epsom salt
With one liver flush every 2 week, is ...

an Epsom Salts bath!
(I keep forgetting about it as my home has only a shower, not a bathtub).
Epsom salts is very inexpensive, can be found in any drugstore, and is magnesium sulfate. Follow the instructions for bath use.
A hot Epsom Salts bath is also very good for drawing toxins out of the body.
Whenever my dad feels bad, (he usually showers), he forces himself to take an Epsom Salts bath...he ALWAYS feels better afterwards.
BTW, he has stated HIS cramping has improved tremendously and Epsom Salts baths is the only way he gets his magnesium!

epsom salt bath
by nickatnight 18 y
I haven’t had a cramp since I took the epsom salt bath last night. I was reading a little bit about the baths and I have a few questions.
1) How often can I take the epsom salt bath?
2) I was reading about adding baking soda to the epsom salt bath to keep the toxins from going back into the body. Is that necessary? If so, how much?
3) Should I take a shower after the epsom salt bath to wash off the epsom salt and/or toxins?
thanks for your help

Re: not sleeping while cleansing
by quetar 17 y
Hi
I never took Paragone, but I have had sleeplessness associated with detoxing. I find that epsom salt baths before bed help me get to sleep in that situation. I put 2 pounds of epsom salts in the tub with hot water and soak for 20 minutes. Follow with a cold shower and then a hot shower at the end. I’ve heard magnesium can also help with sleeplessness, but the epsom salt baths are the more immediate solution.

Re: Salt water flush while fasting?

Well, then there are some tricky questions that follow...
Should swimming in the ocean be avoided during fasting?
Should Epsom salt baths be avoided during a fast?
I had some heavy detox problems during one fast, where my kidneys and bladder were burning most likely from the toxins they were working overtime to remove. An epsom salt bath seemed to eliminate the pain. I don’t know if it was the salt or the warm bath or the combo?

Sure, but good old Epsom Salt baths will also work.
IMO this is a must, one can NOT liberate Hg selectively. So taking ALA and/or Cilantro to mobilize mercury from the lymph nodes only isn’t possible and if you take too much mobilizer you get too much blood Hg.
USP Epsom Salt baths help, and I am sure clay baths do the same or better. Mud/clay baths have been around for over a thousand years...

Excessive Hunger and Urination after Epsom Bath

So, I took my first Epsom Salt bath last week (mainly to start magnesium repletion), and I noticed that it made me very hungry the next day. I noticed an increase in appetite and also the feeling of an empty stomach and hunger only an hour or two after eating. I also noticed that I was thirsty and both drank and urinated a decent amount more than usual. The urination actually subsided by the afternoon. I repeated the epsom salt bath 4 days straight, and I noticed that my hunger got to the point where I felt I had low blood sugar and my food intake could not keep up with my hunger. Again, s ...

Epsom Salt Bathing?
by laali 16 y

I have just finished my first day one of the MC. What I have realized so far is that I get a lot of joy out of eating. Not just the taste of the food, but the activity. I am not hungry so much, as I yearn to be eating as an activity. I was wondering if an epsom salt bath will aid in the detoxification process. I know a yoga instructor I had would suggest an epsom salt bath after a class to help remove toxins. Does anyone know if an epsom salt bath will interfere with or aid the process?

Re: A couple questions about Epsom salts
by southern belle 18 y
You know, it’s always a good idea when taking an epsom salts bath to add a little baking soda. Baking soda helps to absorb the toxins that are being released from your body.
Your skin being so slippery smooth sounds divine to me, but it could have been toxins. I just don’t know. Usually when I take an epsom salts bath, I feel a little gritty or something until I rinse off.
But, regardless, taking an epsom salts bath is my little piece of heaven. Didn’t you just love it?

Thanks. I did not know this. I will definitely look into this again as I know I am deficient in Mg. Do Epsom Salt baths help?
I would stick to magnesium malate supplements. The problem with magnesium sulfate baths is that the movement of minerals dissolved in water are dependent on osmosis. In osmosis water will move from a level of higher purity to lower purity. The reason magnesium sulfate (Epsom salts) baths are so good for reducing swelling is because if there is a higher concentration of salt in the water than there is in the tissues the fluid causing the swelling moves towa ...

”the epsom salt page does not mention eating epsom salts.”
Yes, that is true, but keep in mind that the benefits of the epsom salts mentions result from the aborption of the Epsom salts through soaking for 20-30 minutes in a epsom salt bath. The epsom salts are absorbed through the skin and make their way eventually into the blood stream. The amount absorbed to have the desired effect is likely the equivalent of a ”pinch” of epsom salts, the rest goes into the drain with the bath water unless of course you use the water to water your plants or garden, which can make your plants grow l ...

I don’t know if it has an expiry date or not, but since it’s inexpensive, I’d suggest buying some new salts to ingest.
Use the old salts in a bath. This helps to draw out toxins (and you can use it to exfoliate), so this would be a good thing to do during a cleanse anyway!

This helps draw out toxins from your skin. Keep in mind that if your diet is poor nothing will help. Diet is always the starting point. Also make sure you are drinking at least 8 to 10 glasses of pure water everyday.

Ruffneck’s comment makes perfect sense.
You will want to rehydrate your skin. Coconut oil is great for any topical issue linked with candida but, as yours seems more linked to allergy a moisturizing cream base without perfume would be helpful.
Also many toxins can only be secreted out of the body through skin pores, and then a sea salt bath or a epsom salt bath helps them out and reduce the irritation.
