Cream of Tartar for Candida
by Jaemz 13 y
View Entire Thread 2
Re: Anti-candida Cream of Tartar protocol, I recently noticed that cream of tartar will fully dissolve in warm water. I have been choking down the gritty granules in tepid water for the past month. Since it is essentially comprised of potassium is there any problem with combining the cream of tartar with magnesium citrate/carbonate in warm water for a healthy potassium/magnesium anti-fungal, muscle relaxing warm drink?

Are you sure you aren’t hurting yourself by using this cream of tartar for candida? When I Googled ”cream of tartar and candida” very little came up to support using cream of tartar for this condition, and some very negative indicators even came up. For example, here is a finding from a research group:
”Tartaric (hydroxymalic acid) - Tartaric acid is a toxic metabolite of Saccharomyces yeast species, the same species of yeast that is used in baking and brewing industries. Saccharomyces species may be important organisms in the immuno-compromised person. The fungal origin of this compo ...

Cream of Tartar - Good Source of Potassium?

cream of tartar (potassium bitartrate) is plant based, i wonder if it would serve as a good potassium supplement? i found this explanantion for its origins online
”Cream of tartar is a by-product of the wine industry. A crystalline acid forms on the inside of wine barrels. The barrels are scraped and the sediment is purified and ground to form cream of tartar. Cream of tartar is used to stabilize egg whites when making meringue or as an addition to certain frostings to produce a creamy product.”

I read the post below about cream of tartar and some of the related web sites. I must admit my reaction was that it sounded unbelievable.
I have been having constant nauseous headaches (I think a leaky gut symptom) for most of the last year and cannot control them. I thought I may as well try cream of tartar - at least its cheap. To my amazement within 12 hours I was headache free and have been since then for the last 2 days.
I certainly don’t believe that the candida are dead, however I think that either the gut is sealed in some way, the candida are producing less offensive waste p ...

I wasn’t tying to be alarmist, I was just making the point that we need tread carefully. Cream of Tartar can easily be confused with tartaric acid. Cream of tartar is relatively safe but tartaric acid despite being used through out the food industry is a very different substance.
Cream of tartar is known by many different names including: butanedioic acid monopotassium salt, potassium hydrogen tartrate, potassium acid tartrate, tartaric acid monopotassium salt, monopotassium tartrate, potassium hydrogen L-tartrate, Faccula, and there are more.
We can only support the protocols (plus ...

Everyone is free to do what they want, but I’ll be passing. Cream of tartar (tartaric acid) is yeast poop. It is formed as a waste by-product of yeast in the fermentation process of grapes in making wine. Dr. Wong’s theory appears to be that yeast cannot survive if bathed in its own poop. For this reason, Dr. Wong not only believes in ingesting yeast poop to treat candida, but also that drinking alcohol is good since it has high concentrations of tartaric acid. This is contrary to everything I’ve ever read. Here is a question and answer from Dr. Wong’s website:

Question about second-hand cigarette smoke

Does anyone know if nicotine can hang around the body for years if you’ve been exposed to second-hand cigarette smoke? I know with smokers it can, because I’ve seen plenty of folks at Cure Zone doing cleanses who have stopped smoking for years, but once they do some cleanses they smell the ”cigarette” smell in their urine and sweat.
I was wondering because when I was a child my dad smoked heavily (and still does at age 85). It made me feel horribly ill, and still does if I go to visit him or wind up sitting/standing near someone who is smoking. Yes, smokers have a right to their cigare ...

At first there was a small area of irritation and I felt as if I had developed hemmorhoids which I had never had before. Painful bowel movements and lots of itching. The itching and burning worsened and was extremely painful like I wanted to just rip myself open to scratch it and make it stop. I tried many things, steroid cream, neosporin, mentholatum, anti itch creams, lotions etc. Nothing worked as my rash was getting worse and worse and spreading over a larger area. I have at long last found one solitary reference about cream of tartar in associating to a liver cure.
From an ancient North American herbal book it talks about a condition called a hardened liver which I assume is what we would call a congested liver.
The book says:
Hardness of the liver can be removed by a broth made with dandelion root, the leaves of sorrel and yolk of an egg yolk taken daily for some months while at the same time taking cream of tartar to keep their bodies open (a laxative). Similar course of action is used for ascites (worms) and gallstones.

Hello,
The ingredient you are thinking of with aluminum
is baking POWDER. Baking powder contains baking
soda, so it is easy to be confused. Baking soda
by itself can be ingested safely and does not have
aluminum in it. You can find aluminum-free baking
powder or make your own using baking soda and cream

It is true that one should not consume or rely on items for too long of a time to do what a normal body function should. However, I wanted to point out that baking soda does not contain aluminum or "many ingredients". It contains only sodium bicarbonate. Maybe you are thinking about baking powder, which contains one or more acid salts (cream of tartar and sodium aluminum sulfate) plus cornstarch.

Sounds like its the result of an enlarged prostrate. Although bladder infections caused by bacteria can cause urgency too as can candida infection in bladder. You’ve ruled out diabetes, so we know it’s not that. Try alkanalizing your urine and see if that helps. You can use baking soda in water - a teaspoon in 8 oz of water 3 x day for a couple of days (too much sodium to continue much longer than that--can switch to tri-salts or cream of tartar, which actually kills yeast as well (cream of tartar does)). Dring plenty of water in between doses.

Well you are not the first to have problems with both olive oil and citrus. Widespread reactions to foods can be an indication of a congested liver and if this is the case then they should diminish or disappear when it cleaned.
The olive problem is quite easy to deal with because you can choose another oil such as macadamia nut oil.
Reacting to citrus is a little more difficult but here is an one protocol using Cream of Tartar:
Squeeze 6 lemons into a quart jar, add 1 heaping tablespoon of Epsom salt, and 3 level tablespoons of cream of tartar.
