Re: Happy coffee enema
by propaul 19 y
Hi Cyrulis and Invincible,
You are both right. Coffee enemas, the right kind, creates a chemical
reaction in our bodies. Gerson, when young and a medic in the German
army, discovered that giving the seriously wounded a coffee enema
relieve them from pain. At the time he had run out of pain killing
medication so he used the coffee enemas for pain relief.
I haven’t found any studies that prove or disproves my idea of the
coffee enema inciting our bodies to produce serotonin. So take it or
leave it. I personally have found that taking coffee enemas does

Coffee Enema Instructions
by rudenski 18 y
The coffee enema should consist of 1 quart of coffee solution, held for 15 to 30 minutes. Some people, children especially, can take and retain only a pint (2 cups) of enema solution at a time. If this is the case, one should take 2 coffee enemas, one right after releasing the first enema, and hold each for 15 to 30 minutes.

?Better/worse time of day to do coffee enemas?
by north 18 y
View Entire Thread 4
Is there a ”better” or ”not so good” time of day to do coffee enemas? The reason I ask: coffee enemas make the liver squirt out a dose of bile, making the liver do some work (as opposed to plain water enemas, which don’t) Well, if the liver is busy digesting a meal, would it cause stress to it, to do a coffee enema while a meal is still being digested?
Anybody noticed if doing coffee enemas well away from meals produces better effects than doing them shortly after meals?

Re: when to introduce coffee enemas with gallstones
by myroro 11 y
If her gallbladder is compacted with stones or if it is otherwise not functioning well, the coffee enema may actually increase her pain and discomfort. Before I started doing flushes I discovered that things which promoted bile flow, things like dandelion tea and coffee enemas, gave me some gall bladder pain. She might want to do a full liver flush using the basic Epsom salt, olive oil and grapefruit recipe either before or in conjunction with the coffee enema (I do the coffee enema the day after the flush, myself, and consider it sort of booster or mini flush).

Re: Cofee Enema/liver flush
by Andreas Moritz 21 y
Dear Zule,
I do not recommend doing a coffee enema while doing the liver flush. When compared with the liver cleanse, coffee enemas do very little. People do them to help detoxify the liver, but in 99% of the cases, the liver does not release any stones. Why do a coffee enema when the liver flush does so much more? So when you do the liver cleanses, coffee enemas are not necessary.
Best wishes,

Here’s Dr. Kelley’s Liver Flush protocol: http://curezone.com/cleanse/liver/kelley.asp
He puts the coffee enema between the first & second dose of Epsom Salts...which is what I do. But I do NOT put 1/2 cup of Epsom Salts in with the coffee solution (because I become WAY too dehydrated if I do). My hubby can & does use 1/2 cup of ES in the coffee enema while liver flushing, and it doesn’t affect him adversely at all.
One coffee enema per liver flush is standard, but you can throw in a second on the last day anytime.

To my understanding, no way you can get water to your small intestine doing enema. I suggest if you bother to do enema do coffee enema. just 2 cups of coffee will do the detox. Here is a link perfect for your coffee enema needs. The coffee enema kit comes with dewormer, coffee, castor oil pack and reusable enema bucket with tubing.
Good luck.

There are thousands of people that swear by daily coffee enemas (and many natural healers)...and there are just as many that say it’s harmful and will stop you having normal bowel activity.

Hi waltrovich, I have done many coffee enemas and never had a problem with dehydration. Many problems do occurs because of inadequate preparation. You need to be well hydrated before you do any enema or bowel cleansing. Retention coffee enemas for cleansing the liver should only be done if your colon is clean. My suggestion is to take one or more cleansing enemas prior to the coffee enema. Also the method of preparing the coffee and the volume of the enema are very critical. Often it is difficult to empty your bowels of the coffee enema but it is essential to do so. So I always take a cle ...

Hi Christi.
Good for you. Coffee enema is heaven if done properly.
Adding salt to coffee enema, Hmmmmm. It seems(to me anyway) that adding salt to the coffee enema, would be defeating it’s purpose, which is to be absorbed into the bloodstream. Coffee stimulates the liver to make more bile. Bile, from the gallbladder draws out toxins.
So a coffee enema with salt would be more of a cleansing enema not a detoxifing enema.
I know people add Epsom salt to the coffee enema. I tried that a couple of times with Epsom salt. No, thank you. For me I stick with just the coffee.
Happy cleansing

Hi Steve, I have few questions regarding coffee enemas and it would be great if you can answer them.
1) I am planning to do 2-3 coffee enemas per day. Will my colon become dependent on the enemas? Should I take regular breaks from coffee enemas?
2) Do I need to do a 1.5 liter water enema after the coffee enema to remove the toxins? or are the coffee enemas alone sufficient for that? I am asking this because I don’t want to lose too much electrolytes.
3) Should I use coffee powder or coffee beans?
Thanks.

R by valerie_cct 17 y
Hi scry606, I don’t advise taking multiple coffee enemas in a single day. When you are first getting started you can take one or two cleansing enemas to empty waste matter from the colon, and then follow with a one quart coffee enema. The FAQ on the S.A. Wilsons web site has directions on how to prepare the coffee enema.
Afterwards you can follow with another cleansing enema if desired to eliminate waste and toxins released from your liver from the coffee, but then wait until the next day to take another coffee enema.

I did a liver flush Thrs night and did two 15 min coffee enemas Friday morning 1 hr after the morning’s first epson’s salt. I followed that up w/ several water enemas and then had my last epsom salt drink.
I also believe you can do coffee enema’s on the off-weeks that you aren’t flushing liver.
From what I’ve read, you shouldn’t do coffee enema’s too often (no more than once a week). I always follow a coffee enema w/ a good water enema flush.

A coffee enema stimulates the liver. It could be those effects that you are experiencing. If you felt dizzy, you probably should take it easy on the coffee enema. You should also do a distilled water enema after the coffee enema to get any coffee residue out. You can find more information at Coffee Enema.

Hi Christi, in my opinion you don’t need to use salt with a coffee enema because you want the solution to be absorbed through the walls of your colon.
However, if you take a cleansing enema first prior to the coffee enema, then I suggest you consider adding one teaspoon of sea salt for each pint of water you use. The cleansing enema empties the lower bowel of waste and enhances the ability of the coffee enema to be absorbed by the body.

Difference between coffee enema and liver flush:
-Coffee enema rarely results in stones
-coffee enema recommended mostly for brain fog, when Herxheimer Effect (healing crisis, die-off) symptoms are bad.
-Liver Flush really forces liver AND gallbladder to release stones, not just toxins.

On the Gerson program, cancer patients do 4 coffee enemas a day. And these very advanced, very weakened cancer patients do great with it. But they also take 13 8-oz fresh-squeezed vegetable juices a day too. That’s what makes the coffee enemas safe -- replenishing the electrolytes lost by the coffee enemas with the vegetable juices.
The Gerson organization (www.gerson.org) recommends a ratio of 3 fresh-squeezed vegetable juices for each coffee enema.

To effectively detox, you need to, well, detox. The most effective method I know for doing so is the combination of fresh-squeezed vegetable juices and coffee enemas, at a ratio of 1 coffee enema for each 3 cups of vegetable juice. The vegetable juices wash all the toxins out of your cells into the liver, and the coffee enemas very effectively flush them out of the liver and into the toilet where they belong.
If you could do six juices and two coffee enemas a day, you’d feel much better very quickly. If it was 3 juices and 1 coffee enema, that would work too, just a little more slowly.
