Question - What do you see with eyes closed?
I don't know if others do this, or CAN do this, because I have asked my friends if they can and they say no.
There is some kind of "residual light" behind my eyelids after I have looked at a bright light like the sun, but other lights too if they are bright enough, or contrasting enough. I am almost SURE it happens to everyone, but some people just don't see it somehow?
What is fun is to watch how those residual lights disappear, or change, in the seconds after I close my eyes. Then, sometimes it will linger and I can watch it change for a long time.
Sitting in a dark room, then flick a bic lighter, and then close your eyes and see what you see... Press your palms against your eyelids and see if that affects what you see.
Colours change, shapes change. Eventually there might be something different show up - often it becomes like MY OWN PUPIL/Iris that I am seeing, like looking in on my eye but from inside.
It is not much different than , with eyes open, changing your focus to see the scratches on your eyeballs, or those little dots that some people have.
This is truly silly stuff, but there is a YOGA like component, meditational, in doing this activity... it really puts me in the present moment too, like Yoga stretches do so well.
Does anyone else know what I am talking about? And does it relate to this forum at all?
