Re: Aspartame Dangers

I agree with most of what you say about the dangers of Aspartame. The FDA should never have approved it. As you probably know, there is an herbal sweetener called Sevia which is far safer than Sugar or Aspartame, but the FDA will not allow it in prepared foods, because, according to them it is not generally recognized as safe. I believe that millions of peoples' lives have been ruined, lost or adversely effected because of the FDA's position on Aspartame and stevia. Is there any way we can sue the bastards? A class action lawsuit for ten trillion dollars would sure make this dictatorial branch of the federal government sit up and take notice. It might even cause them to do what they should have done years ago - ban Aspartame and allow stevia in prepared foods.
