The sad thing for Michael is that all of the anecdotal evidence in the world, lots of money, and even the best of lawyers will probably not help much. The information that I could find is that he violated a court order that he had agreed to as a result of previous FTC actions.

While I do not have all of the evidence available, I have been told that he had a large number of complaints against him from previous customers and family members which brought the initial actions. I was told that one of the complaints were failure to honor a money back guarantee.

I think that everyone should know that the FDA and the FTC have visited almost every internet site in existance that promotes health aids or cures, probably very frequently. I have talked with several of the owners and most of them tell me that they have been contacted at least once and that changes were requested. We have had change requests from the FTC on one occasion and immediately responded as requested although we felt that we were not in actual violation.

They had found a couple of words on our site that were in a sentence asking for information about certain illnesses. The position of the FTC was that they felt that some individuals might misread the information. The words were removed and they have not bothered us since.

Personally, I do not object to the FDA or the FTC visiting our site and making sure that we stay honest. I have reviewed most of the cases that they have presented against various sites and find that they have only pursued action against companies that had a lot of customer complaints or that make claims that are unreasonable or unfair.

I have visited several sites that the FDA could have shut down several years ago but they have not done so. It is not because they are unaware of these sites, among these sites are some of the largest sellers of zappers and related items.

Basically, I feel that if you keep all of your customers happy and do not make rediculous claims ( IT CURES EVERYTHING ), then you will not be bothered.
