Quite awhile back someone posted an article about how originally people squated to do a BM and that by squating the bowls are straightened as we evacuate. Some of the suggestions the article gave was to pull your knees up by your ears while going, or to get a special made toilet that allows you to squat, or to pull up a stool and put your feet on it, and or lean as far forward as you can. Personally I have incorporated the stool into my evacuation sessions and it has made a big difference. I would definitely give that a try if I were you, it is a lot less messy :o).
