An outline for a diet you should try.
Hi all. You don't need to resort to wild unorthodox therapies. You don't need weird supplements that may or may not have an actual effect. You must deal with the knowns. We know we must eat and consume many nutrients vital to proper functioning of the body. We know we must drink, we know we must move or we atrophy, we know we must breathe (of course), and we know we must keep clean and free from disease by washing in water. These are the things that must be done on your own.
But more importantly, you "must" build new relationships, and live a life that is people focussed, and keep mentally and spiritually exercised. That is what you must do, after your needs (in the upper paragraph) are met.
When discussing diet, I would first refer to the bible. In Genesis God outlines that you shall eat seed-bearing plants and fruit which bears seed. Also, later in the bible, permission is also given to eat meat. But the focus should clearly be what's in Genesis, although, I think no one should be an exclusive vegetarian. Here's a diet I will outline to really combat
Body Odor .
Whole grains:
Oats and Brown Rice should be staples in everyone's diet. I personally prefer instant oatmeal (plain) over whole oatmeal, because its easier to digest, yet contains much the same nutrition (often even enriched with B vitamins). Whole oats such as cheerios are also perfectly fine. Whole wheat is less "seed-like" than oats and rice. Wheat is more shaft-like. This is likely why most have trouble digesting it. So in accordance with the bible, the plants that bear seed would involve oats and brown rice primarily. These should be eaten often! And remember they should not be processed white rice, white bread, etc. These are the anti-thesis of healthy food.
Vegetables:
Legumes, Nuts, and seeds are critically important for anti-
Body Odor . As a fellow mentioned in a constipation, circulation, and acidity thread, nuts were a big part of his diet, and that is a very good thing. They are full of critical minerals such as magnesium, calcium, potassium, zinc etc. These should be your focus in the vegetable department over greens, and root vegetables. Sunflower seeds, flaxseeds, almonds, cashews, walnuts, peas, lentils, some beans; all of these are unbelievably healthy, and
Science agrees. To even further the benefit of nuts, is the fact that they have very healthy fat in them. I also bet most of you have heard of Omega 3 fatty acids which are "essential" to life. These are found in flaxseeds which were mentioned. I'm not suggesting carrots, beets, potatoes, and greens are without worth, but animals get much more benefit from those things than humans in general. Those things can and probably should be consumed, but the emphasis should be on the nut/legume family.
A note - I believe a supplement of Flax oil should be one of the three supplements you should consider taking with good fats that are important from this nut/seed family.
**These two categories should be the basis of your diet. Every meal should contain some form of those two things.
Fruits:
This one, people with
Body Odor should be more careful of.
Sugar is designed as a temporary replacement of glycogen after exercise. These should not be eaten when resting.
Sugar is very bad for you unless it is burned up right after you eat it, or unless it's going to replace what has already been used up in exercise. The best fruits to choose from are, apples (eat their seeds as well for Vitamin B17), Peaches, Apricots, Tomatoes (very healthy!), Kiwi, blueberries, rasberries, strawberries, water melon, etc. All of these fruits have pits or seeds as the bible describes. These are very necessary in the diet, but their consumption must be timed well. I personally believe these were when nomads walked many miles a day and berries were very good replacement glycogen to give energy. But when they sat around in one place, they had time to collect seeds and grains for a more normal meal. Everyone has different view on this, but I presented my personal opinion in this matter.
Science has nothing to do with this observation.
Meats:
I'm not completely "anti-meat" as many may think in my focus of the bible. However, certain meats are better than others. I think eggs may be consumed, particularly for those who lift weights. If you don't lift weights you can choose from other sources that follow. Turkey, I suggest everyone include in their diet, as well as fish. Yes, I know fish is on that list of "smelly foods" that everyone here is scared of, but that's ridiculous. Fish is one of the healthiest protein sources available, and unless you smell like fish, you should definitely consume it. Chicken is fine, but preferance should go toward turkey or fish or possibly eggs.
Now, about red meat. I think everyone needs at about 4
oz. of red meat per week. There are important nutrients in red meat that you need and should not avoid. However, what meat you buy is critically important. Angus, and Choice Beef are your best buys preferably free range.
In this group, its probably good to have a little something in one or possibly two meals a day. For those who exercise rigorously, then probably more. I would suggest that you don't completely eliminate meat, but I pointed to where your focus should be in the diet.
Dairy:
Calcium is of critical importance. Your blood always needs a good concentration of calcium ions to maintain its pH of 7.41. If your blood is alkaline by getting calcium in your diet rather than from your bones and bodily fluids, then you will have no trouble with your mouth becoming acidic and smelly. I think yogurt is probably the only dairy food anyone should consume regularly. Cheese could be consumed less regularly, mozeralla being the best form. The acidophilus in yogurt is important as I'm sure everyone knows, and it helps you digest the lactose. Other than that, the primary source of calcium is the ever important nuts/seeds/legumes group. And also supplementation is a good idea.
What to avoid:
- Avoid
Sugar except in occasional fruit which is timed properly as to when to eat it. This means NO DESSERT. Only very occasionally.
- Avoid all white flours and doughs. Pizza, no way (unless it's whole wheat crust), white bread, no way, all these are terrible for your digestion and metabolism.
- Avoid fermented beverages for the most part. These are very good at breeding yeast and causing acidity. Sugar fermentation is the worst process for the human body there is.
- Avoid all yeast products. Did you know that almost every kind of snack food (chips, peanuts, other salty snacks) puts in yeast extract and monosodium glutamate to get you addicted to it and keep buying more? Did you know that 85 percent of the people who consume snack foods with yeast interfere with their natural intestinal bacteria and cause yeast overgrowth in the intestine which can give off odor or cause
Acne or cause bad breath?
- Avoid processed corn. Corn is hard on your digestive system. The other grains such as oats or brown rice are much to be preferred. Although whole corn in some cereals and corn on the cob are much better than other choices of foods which you could pick.
The bottom line is folks, use common sense! It's about your lifestyle. If it's hard to make, it's probably good for you! All good foods take time to prepare, as opposed to pre-packaged processed food that makes life easy during the work week. You must eat natural foods, not foods that have been manipulated by us. When deciding what to eat, bear in mind the bible's wisdom.
Lastly a word about exercise and lifestyle. You must move!! You must get outside every day. You must socialize with people and build relationships with them. You mustn't keep to yourself. You must use positive thinking and belief. You must get excited about your life! You must keep your hope firm and alive. You must challenge yourself to do a little bit more socialization, or a little bit more to get your into a job or a relationship each and every day. Improve yourself more than yesterday. Best wishes.
