THE FLU -- Salmonella or Shigella Bacterium
The influenza virus can cause "the flu" and can be eliminated by zapping. However, much that is called the "flu" is actually caused by a bacterium, either Salmonella or Shigella. Children's "flus", especially with fever, are usually due to Salmonella. Dairy products are usually the first source of bacteria. Salmonella flu however, is not easily zapped away.
