Built up fecal matter?

Hello,

I've read with interest the discussions about colon cleansing and on some websites claims that many pounds of fecal matter can build up in the colon.

If this is true, I was wondering why the colon looks so "clean" during a colonoscopy after the person only drinks a prescribed liquid to flush them out.

If this medicine can clear out the colon in one day - why do complicated "natural" colon flushes. How is it they can get the colon so "clean" looking so easily?
