This could be important in the treatment and virulence in some subjects, it may be that a diet rich in sodium chloride NaCl and thus a high sodium levels in the body disturbs less Staphylos aureus than other germs. Interesting their association with the grease...
It is a pity that in hospitals they use the solution of NaCl (1%) instead of MgCl (12 pour milles) which Prof. Delbet used with succes for the injured soldiers in 1915 ! 100 years ago !
(needless to say that 12 pour milles is a bout 1%, right)...
All hospitals are scared of MRSA, no wonder if they use the solution which Staphylo aureus are very happy with.
