do I really need a root canal

Hi!

I have a pain in my left side of my mouth. I wasn't able to identify the tooth(s) it was coming from. The pain was coming and going. I extracted all my wisdom teeth because that's what my dentist advised me. A few weeks ago, the pain came back. I don't know if I grind during sleepin but I don't think I do. However, I grind my teeth when they hurt me, because it feels uncomfortable and I was trying to identify the exact location of my pain. I might have aggravated the teeth by grinding.

Anyway, my X-ray don't show anything, except for a filling in tooth 15. The dendodotist wants me to have a root canal for tooth 15 and possibly 14. He did a test with cold and warm and based on that, he decided I need a root canal. Right now my teeth don't hurt me, but my root canal is tomorrow and I don't know if a root canal is the right decision. The doctor didn't try any Antibiotics and the x-ray don't show any infection or crack. The decision for a root canal was mainly based on my sensitivity to the "hot test."

I was wondering if it is possible to have a sinus infection. I have no headaches and I don't feel sick. when I wokr up yesterday my right eyelid was red and puffy. I put some warm compresses, because that's what my family doctors advised me. My doctor was moved to a new hospital, soI am in the process of finding a new general doctor or an optimetrist. Is it possible that my tooth and my eye lid infection are related. Waht kind of doctor should I see?
