Hi, thanks for the replies. The shortness of breath was immediate at the start of this and isn't really a huge problem today. I notice I take more deep breaths but I don't have any asthma-like problems. I've had my lungs checked at a pulmonologist with a spirometer and flow meter test, they checked out above average in health.

I also read somewhere that people are born with cystic fibrosis. I don't think that's my issue, as this all just happened one day out of the blue.

I've had a gallbladder/liver/abdomen CT scan and MRI but I don't know if that checked the pancreas. I haven't had any pancreas enzyme tests, not sure where to go to get those.

I just know that my problem isn't run of the mill. I know it's not heartburn/indigestion as it's way too constant and coupled with too many varying factors. It really does sound like a parasite and that's why I came here. I'm going to try the Iodine and parasite cleanse first.

Is there a parasite test? And is it possible to successfully get rid of the parasite?

@ another poster: I've heard of the too little acid theory too. A naturopath I had gone to was giving me betaine HCL tablets and those did not improve or worsen my problem. They upped it to a stronger dose and still it did nothing.

Again, all it takes to bring symptoms on is to stand up from sitting or sit up from lying down and I bloat up and burp. The passing of gas lieing down and the burping sitting up makes me think there must be a lot of gas being trapped/produced somewhere down there.

My throat is also red and irritated at times but the doctor says this is due to allergies, as I am allergic to grass, certain tree's and dustmites (I found this out recently). They aren't sure how the allergies can cause the stomach upset though or how they just came about instantly or if they're related at all, they just found that. I took allergy medicine and still wasn't cured.

Oh yeah I forgot to add, my coated tongue takes on the color of whatever I eat or drink. I've even taken kava kava capsules only to see my tongue durn a dark brown, even though they were gel capsules. When the coating on my tongue isn't camoflouging into whatever I eat, it looks white with yellow streaks down the sides. I can actually scrape it off and it looks similar to tooth plaque when scraped off.

I've been waiting so long for someone to be like "aha!" and figure out exactly what this is....and go the route of fixing it, perhaps that will happen here.
