should I have the thyroidectomy? i feel GREAT
I am 31, male, been very healthy my whole life, I don't take any vitamins, supplements, etc.. I don't eat super healthy organic all the time, nor do I eat junk food. I exercise ALL THE TIME and feel and look great. So, I was in a wreck and had an MRI and they found a 3x3x3cm mass on the right lobe of the thyroid. I had an FNA biopsy which shows a "folicular lesion". THe doctor wants to remove the whole gland and biopsy it. I really don't want to do that, but don't want to die of cancer either. "follicular" is the type that, if it is cancer, can spread to the rest of the body rather easily. SO here is my question...
Should I have the thyroidectomy?
People here on curezone complain of all sorts of premature aging, weight gain, hair loss after a thyroidectomy. I don't want that. Is that common for all individuals? The surgery is scheduled for May 6, in exactly seven days. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
