Red face after shower - Help!

After every time I have a shower my face becomes red, at the top of my cheeks, on my nose and the side of my head over the temple.
It isn't painful, just awful looking like i have been slapped around or burnt. It calms down to normal after around 20 minutes if I am in a cool environment.

Creams just make my face shiny, nd it doesn't matter if the shower is hot or cold - it still happens.

I am English speaking living in France so don't fancy trying to explain this to a french dermatologist...

Please help!
