Hi, I sell the ViaJet Pro at the OraMedia site for Dental Self Sufficiency (Mizar5.com).
Just for the record, a few corrections; these are not 'water picks'. They are oral irrigators. Water pik is Teledyne's trade name for their line of oral irrigators. The ViaJet Pro is the model of oral irrigator which was first introduced by Colgate many years ago in the form of the ViaJet 7500. The new version is the ViaJet Pro and it is made in Taiwan, not China. There is a big difference. It is not a model 3000, that is the part number. The 'PRO' is the model. The ViaJet comes with a one year parts & labor warrantee. Using a solution of salt or salt/baking soda will void the warrantee, according to the manufacturer. In my experience you can use this type of solution, but if you do not keep it rinsed out thoroughly afterward it can clog up because the salt/soda made crystalize, plugging the unit. You also waive any warantee protection. Essential oils of any kind can destroy the inner plastic parts of the unit or any other oral irrigator of this type. Rule of thumb: If it comes in a glass container, keep it out of the irrigator.
Our unit is priced higher than the others mentioned, but my customers also enjoy a much greater level of support when it comes to its use, application and warrantee support overall. When you call OraMedia, you are not just talking to an order-taker. If price is your only concern, order from the other two. Also, I was told that since OraTec does not ship outside of the US, they refer those inquiries to us. Same with the people at OralBreeze.
The ViaJet Pro is the only irrigator of its type which I sell because I believe it is the best and the only one which accommodates the metal cannulae and antimicrobial solution for deep pocket irrigation and that is important for people serious about responsible self-treatment for their periodontal diseas.
I cannot comment on the nasal irrigation use, as my focus is on oral health.
