johrei day one, a divine surreal blast seemingly out of knowhere

A little over 2 weeks ago, an acquaintence, an older gentleman approached me. He tells me he's just gotten his certificate in Johrei and offers me a healing. I ask what it entails and he tells me it's hands off, he sits across from me in a chair and channels divine light that will remove my misery and heal me. Somehow, I intuitively went with it, though entirely skeptical. I've been pretty miserable, regularly intolerably disturbed. I pray and stay close to God, but the dark nights of the soul seem far too regular.

He sat across from me, I closed me eyes and felt something undeniable, a sort of thick pleasantness over my brain, quieting my thoughts to a Godly stillness. He handed me a card for a center not far from where I live, told me I could go anytime within their hours FOR FREE, that Johrei's founder had 3 rules, never charge, never preach, never advertise. Sounds good to me. I believe that when people have integrous spiritual teachings and devoted seekers, they do not charge.

I walked home and Everything looked illuminated, glittering, radiant, though my brain felt foggy. I usually dislike my roomate's cat--I'm allergic to it and it sheds everywhere, yet it looked entirely sweet and tendeer all curled up in its chair. hmmm.

I decided to check the center out the following day.
