Day 1 End of Day
End of day one notes. More info about my journey.
Date: 3/28/2006 9:17:09 AM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 2115 times Total today I drank 1 quart of tonic made with juice of one lime, two tablespoons maple syrup, and a half teaspoon of cayenne. 4 half litre bottles of water. Drank my dieters tea at 8am and again at 5pm. No BM today at all, which is unusual for me. Did 90 minutes of yoga which felt wonderful.
In the past when cleansing/fasting I have always added 30 minute daily saline baths, so I went home and ran one. About a cup of baking soda to a nice hot tub. It always makes me feel like my skin exchanges toxins for cleaner water. Sometimes I scrub with dampened baking soda to really exfoliate. Used a marble powder scrub on my face and I will alternate days with kaolin masque to extract toxins from face and neck skin.
I have a bit of a headache, but today was really stressful with lots of unexpected errands at work, so I think that is just muscle tension.
Measured my whole body, which I have not done for exactly eight weeks. The last time I measured I had been slimming (southbeach) for three months, lost 14 pounds. I have kept all of that weight off for these past eight weeks, plus I have lost 4 more inches over my torso, which I totally attribute to regular yoga. Measureable muscle increase in pecs and glutes too, which is a great benefit. Setting the stage for where I have been in recent past, and where I am going with my health improvements.
Went to bed early, lounged with hubby for about an hour and shared a pot of a delicate Himalayan Darjeeling tea. I am all about the ritual of so many things, the bath, the tea (in a proper pot, on a tray with a warmer, charming cups with saucers). Prayed and meditated for a while before going to sleep.
