Tired of smoking
Date: 1/12/2006 3:30:23 PM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 3728 times Today, I am sick and tired of smoking. I made a pledge to myself to quit tomorrow, Friday, January 13th, as 13 is my favourite number. I used to smoke, then quit for over 14 years. I started again last year, when I discovered that my partner of 12 years was having an affair with a married woman. They met in the same gym as we used to go to together. Apparently, this woman's husband is "okay" with this arrangement. It "spices up" their sex life. So many lies, betrayals and now, I have no desire to be with anyone. In any case, got into some strange things since I found out, smoking cigarettes and also pot. I will give up the former tomorrow, the latter...well, I'll limit consumption to just on weekends. I don't want to take anything to help me in terms of NRT, as they are just another way for people to get nicotine into their system, keeping them forever dependent. I want to go COLD TURKEY!
Tomorrow, I am also doing something called "The Master Cleanse". Going to clean out my body, my lungs, and digestive track all at the same time!
