Addictions suck----started off day with a bad start 18 y
Addictions Suck Need to isolate myself from the smoking world.
I am not going to give up. Today, there were cigarettes right on my kitchen table when I got up, left by a friend who stayed over last night. I had one. DAMN! Geez, I am really hooked. I KNOW that all it does is relieve the craving, which is caused by the nicotine and all the other chemicals in cigarettes. I think I am going to have to stay away from all my smoker friends until I’ve developed the mindset that I am a ”non-smoker” which I think comes from being without until the nicotine leaves my body. Tired of smoking
Today, I am sick and tired of smoking. I made a pledge to myself to quit tomorrow, Friday, January 13th, as 13 is my favourite number. I used to smoke, then quit for over 14 years. I started again last year, when I discovered that my partner of 12 years was having an affair with a married woman. They met in the same gym as we used to go to together. Apparently, this woman’s husband is ”okay” with this arrangement. It ”spices up” their sex life. So many lies, betrayals and now, I have no desire to be with anyone.
