Riding the Wave of the Impossible
I am being asked more and more to move into the realm of the impossible, and that's something that takes a lot of trust and courage to do. I'm also discovering the impossible is a She--definitely a feminine energy!

That is the story right now—ridding myself of my shackles and blinders and chains, and moving into the impossible. That is now the theme for my life, ladies and gentlemen:
Moving into the impossible.
It takes guts, courage, strength and huge cajones to move into the impossible. It takes a huge trust in one’s own inner guidance and wisdom, for leaving behind the possible is a mighty huge risk—and investment. The possible is so secure, so firm—so concrete. There’s nothing airy about it.
The impossible, on the other hand, is airy, and basically a figment of one’s imagination. The impossible can only be reached through the imagination—get it? You have to be able to visualize and sense whatever that impossible might be in order to reach it. Once you’ve seen a vision of it, then you can move forward into it.
But it’s not even that. Sometimes the impossible is not even known, so there can’t be a visual of it, or even a sense of it. That’s where the trust and inner guidance comes in, because that’s the space from where you move and travel into the impossible. You move from a space of not-knowing, which is a very close relative to the space of the impossible. It is as though it’s very, very hard to move from a space of knowing, and the possible, into the unknown and the impossible. The image I get of this movement is that of one jumping off a cliff, and that is hard to do—a movement completely made out of trust.
The impossible turns so many people off—like myself. I’ve failed to create a healthy relationship with the impossible, although there have been many times in my life when I have easily moved into her. And, it feels like she’s got to be a feminine energy. The masculine is too defined, too sturdy and concrete to be impossible.
The impossible is a creature who does not like to be pinned down. I sense her, and I know she’s out there, and then it’s up to me to go to her. I must do the work. She’ll show herself in a certain garment, and then it’s up to me to go after her. And I don’t ever know what she’s going to look like once I seek her. She might not even be there at all, and then I’m out there in an empty space all by myself. But that’s when the trust comes in, and the practice of listening to my inner wisdom.
I would like to create a daily working relationship with the impossible. As a matter of fact, I’d like to hurl myself into her space, leaving everything behind and living from within her realm. I know the world would be a different place if many of us lived from the space of the impossible. My dreams come to me from that realm on many a night. Now, it seems, it is my responsibility to move my waking life into that realm as well.
