Recipe : Michelle's Lentil Soup
Lentils are great with adrenal issues

I was tinkering around after stumbling upon a recipe for lentil soup. I had never eaten lentils and really had no desire to either. But my hubby and I were in a quest for foods that 1.) we could both eat 2) taste good and 3.) my hubby had it previosuly and said it was good. So I played around and came up with a recipe so good we have made it three times in the last 2 weeks and every last drop of it gets eaten too. And it is good for those of us with candida, nothing that feeds it. Try and let me know what you think. It has lots of fiber ( good for digestion) and is all veggies full of good stuff.
I start off steaming about 2 cups of broccoli and cauliflower which I then throw in the blender with water to make a thick veggie stock. Then pour this into big soup pot.
Add 6 cups pure water
3 large purple onions chopped or shredded as I do in food processor
3 carrots also shredded
3 celery sticks chopped
a bunch of fresh parsley chopped
3 cloves of crushed garlic
sea salt to taste
black pepper if you like
1 cup of lentils any kind I used the small red ones
throw it all in together and let it simmer for as long as you like, I find it needs about 30 minutes. You might have to boild down to remove excess liquid.
My god is this soup good. Don't let it fool you , it does not smell like much while cooking, but it is soooo good.
