The Woodstock Festival
Now the 50th anniversary of a remarkably peaceful event!
Date: 7/28/2016 8:46:37 AM ( 8 y ) ... viewed 1471 times Got inspired to identify the "birth time" of Woodstock (and got August 15, 1969 3:42 PM at White Lake, New York) to generate a Human Design BodyGraph and glad I did! First thing I'm impressed with is this gave an "Incarnation Cross" known as the "Left Angle Cross of Revolution 2: People who are projected upon to provide the practical reasons, and contribute the resources, necessary to instigate a revolution - or not."[1]
The second thing that impresses me about this BodyGraph is that it has a Defined Channel between the Self Center and the Sacral Center known as "The Channel of The Beat". The two Gates in this Channel "Together, as the Channel of the Beat, ... are poised to take us in a new direction."[1] One of my main highlights in the description of this channel is: "All Individuality empowers through example, and your first task is to be true to yourself, and live into your own destiny, direction and purpose."[1]
Earlier that same Summer I had attended the Newport Jazz Festival and didn't know anything about what was to become one of the largest concert events of all time and a historical moment for the social sphere

Inspired with the tremendous work of Richard Tarnas in his "Cosmos and Psyche" and thought to research his references to Woodstock starting with the following:
Richard "examines the three planet alignment of Jupiter, Uranus, and Pluto of the late 1960s, (whereby) it is possible to discern how during specific months and years the presence of Jupiter (the archetypal principle of expansion, amplification, and successful culmination) gave a distinctive inflection to the longer-term sequences of events characteristic of the Uranus-Pluto combination that were evident throughout the entire decade, such as powerful rebellious and revolutionary impulses, technological empowerment, and mass freedom movements. Thus, in 1968-69, when Jupiter joined Uranus and Pluto in a triple conjunction, there occurred, Tarnas notes, 'the peak and full amplitude of the decade’s characteristic events' as the Jupiter principle expanded, brought to successful fruition, and gave a breadth of cultural expression to the Uranus-Pluto themes: the protest movement was at its most widespread, a series of unprecedented mass music festivals including Woodstock took place, and, perhaps most notably, the triumphant culmination of the space program with the Apollo moon landing in 1969 brought a sudden, dramatic expansion of horizons on a mass scale. (303-304)."
