He was there. He helped his co-authors destroy documents that would have shown an MMR-autism link. A movie was made about this controversy. It’s called Vaxxed.
Now, there’s a new whistleblower, technically speaking. His name is Dr Andrew Zimmerman.

Perhaps the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention can allow a senior CDC scientist William Thompson—who has claimed whistleblower protection–to testify about his claims that the CDC lied, hid, and altered data that showed the MMR vaccine when given before 36 months of age is associated with autism. The CDC has refused to allow Dr. Thompson to testify about his claims. Dr. Thompson has claimed whistleblower status. And, perhaps the CDC can comment on another Federal case where the mumps part of the MMR is in court because two Merck whistleblowers have come forward stating the Merck falsified the data on the efficacy of the mumps part of the MMR vaccine."[10]

May 8th, 2016 - Happy Mothers' Day!
A professor friend who has a special interest in childhood diseases responded to my inquiry as to the MMR - autism connection. The professor suggested that this required an epidemiological investigation. I took note of that with the intention of searching for such. I just found a very interesting article that I believe addresses this. "When it comes to MMR and autism: Epidemiology is irrelevant to the issue of causation.
Discussion
Epidemiological studies cannot prove that MMR does not cause autism because even the most accurate studies cannot disprove a causal connection in a relatively small number of cases. ...
Over a dozen epidemiological studies from every corner of the world have failed. Some included thousands of individuals and some whole populations. Some have extended over many years and undoubtedly some are on-going. They too will be useless.

The Study of 12 published by Andrew Wakefield in 1999 still stands.
Hundreds of children with autism have been shown to have Wakefield entero-colitis and many have evidence of measles presence.
Epidemiological MMR-autism research is a waste of time and money.
Independent clinical research is needed."[3]

"In 1998, Dr. Andrew Wakefield and his colleagues published a study looking at the possible connection between the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine and autism. The study concluded that there appeared to be a correlation between that vaccine and autism but clearly stated that the study did not prove that any vaccine caused autism and that more research was needed.
It is hard to imagine why anyone would even notice this study, let alone get all lathered up about it, but the medical-pharmaceutical industry freaked out. Wakefield and his colleagues were sued for defamation and medical licenses were revoked. At least some of his colleagues were granted funds to defend themselves. They took their cases to court and won decisively. Wakefield was not fortunate enough to receive such money and so he remains guilty by reason of insufficient funds.
This video takes a personal look at Wakefield’s struggle to get the truth out. What I see in all this is a hypersensitive pharmaceutical industry overreacting to a minor preliminary study. This is the kind of behavior I would expect from a guilty party whose scam is in danger of exposure. Wakefield mentions a survey in Ohio which found that over 60 percent of parents believe there is a connection between vaccines and autism. He also observes that whether or not there is a link, the pharmaceutical industry is losing the PR battle, which may be the reason they have reacted so viciously. A lot of people seem to go along with the idea that any who dare to think differently than the majority of sheep and any who dare to think outside of the politically correct box must be demonized. Their character must be assassinated lest others be tempted to make the same heinous mistake. ..."[8]

"The entity known as the STATE OF CALIFORNIA is illegal and unlawful, and they know it."
My Reply:
"Thank You for pointing to something that needs to be fully revealed. This 'State' has a very limited jurisdiction due to its 'Constitution' that is wholly in accordance with the 'United States' Constitution wherein the jurisdiction is strictly proprietary-based. In other words – government has lawful jurisdiction only over what it owns. Any action against we the people that does not include a verified complaint based on actual injury to that individual complainant should be immediately challenged for its lack of jurisdiction – unless of course the compliant is against a government employee who is an accomplice to legalizing the consequential harm from manufactures who lie about their products!"

According to the Organic Laws as taught by my Law Professor: Ed Rivera - the proposed "bill" if enacted will be proprietarily-based. That's because all legislation is tied or limited to the territory that is owned by or subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the United States.
Article VI of the Constitution of September 17, 1787 re: the “Laws of the United States” “shall be the supreme Law of the Land” refers to the territory owned by or subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the United States of America. This provision is binding on the States, so the State of California its taxes and laws are limited to this same federal territory.
That's the Law! The question now is how do we restrain government within its territorial jurisdiction? This is firstly accomplished by the free inhabitants becoming fully informed on what the Law actually says according to the Organic Laws and not according to legal professionals or according to what government declares.[6]

Japan tried giving its population the MMR vaccine and have since stopped because of its ineffectiveness and health issues it caused. -
"The MMR Vaccine’s Tragic History in Japan -
The MMR vaccine was introduced in Japan in April 1989, and parents who refused the compulsory vaccine were fined. After three months of analysis, officials realized that one in 900 children developed adverse reactions to the vaccine, a rate that was 2,000 times higher than the expected rate.
Officials had hoped to resolve the problem by switching to another version of the vaccine, but the excessive amount of adverse reactions persisted, with one in 1,755 children affected. Testing of 125 children’s spinal fluid determined that the vaccines had entered one child’s nervous system, with two additional suspected cases.
Four years later, in 1993, the government removed the MMR mandate against measles and rubella. A doctor from Japan’s Ministry of Health and Welfare admitted that the separate, individual doses of measles and rubella cost twice as much to administer, and he defended the decision, stating, 'but we believe it is worth it.'”[7]
Only four years for the government to realize the truth about the MMR vaccine and to act accordingly in light of that realization! I'll drink a "toast" of real sake to that!
Japanese Officials Speak Out -
"Japan has been criticized for being behind the times when it comes to vaccination. ...
Some Japanese health experts disagree, however. Hiroko Mori, a vaccine researcher, is one of those experts. He was the former head of the infectious disease division at Japan’s National Institute of Public Health.
He has noted that Japan has one of the lowest infant mortality rates in the world and has advocated for fewer vaccines, stating that the country’s excellent sanitation and nutrition has boosted children’s health.
He observed,
'Medicine is supposed to be about healing, but babies who cannot speak are being given unnecessary shots because parents are scared. Children are losing their ability to heal naturally.
There are so many people who have suffered side effects. All we are asking is to establish the right to say ‘no.’ The right to choose should be recognized as a fundamental human right.'”[7]
Absolutely agree with Hiroko about "the right to say ‘no.’ The right to choose"! Hopefully Americans will not have to move to Japan to have this right be "recognized as a fundamental human right".
