"Sisters" Eco Art by mayah (c)2015 5" X 5" X 3/4"
Reused dried tea bags as background; dried tea "sprinkles"; reused greeting card photo, junk mail, Rhimax 100% recycled paper, non-VOC glues and acrylic glaze
My first art using tea bags--after watching some tutorials on YouTube, tried it out for myself! Most throw away the used tea, yet I decided it would give great texture to the art work. The base is cloth canvas stretched over wood frame (purchased). The tea itself is organic.
"Paris Unity" Eco MaG by mayah (c)2015 2" X 2"
Reused tea bags, junk mail, crumbled dry fall leaf, non-VOC glues and acrylic glaze on cloth canvas square; magnet backing.
In solidarity with Parisians, I put "US" on this magnet. The crumbled fall leaf bits represent lost lives and dreams, yet the photo is one of the Eiffel tower in Paris in the spring time, and the colors are bright--a promise of hope and healing.
"Eco Art by mayah" utilizes reused/recycled and earth-friendlier materials
