The 29th Gene Key

(My foundation course is in communications.) This particular entry is inspired by my research regarding an acute case of intestinal diarrhea that a friend of mine is experiencing.
I began my research with a review of the individual's Human Design chart. A separate reference to the chakra system had just clued me in to focus on the Sacral Center. Jackpot! My friend has a total of seven planetary activations in their Sacral Center! More auspiciously is the fact that three of these activations are at Gate 29 (including Personality Mars, Design Sun and Design Venus).
Next I turned to the Gene Keys. These notes may have little or no meaning to most anyone casually reading this however, if you knew my friend (like I know my friend) then all of the following would come highlighted in red (just as I have done in my copy of Gene Keys - with my friend in mind)!
Firstly is the sub-title of this Gene Key: "Leaping Into The Void"! This phrase just happens to identify the crux of the current "crisis" that is manifesting in my friend's intestines! I see the "crisis" operating on the "Shadow" level of "Half-Heartedness".
Author Richard Rudd says:
"The 29th Shadow of Half-Heartedness in combination with its programming partner, the 30th Shadow of Desire, creates quite possibly the greatest emotional chaos of any two of the shadow pairings."
I can't tell how much of a relief it is for me to read and grok this with my friend in mind! It firstly positively identifies the underlying emotional nature of not only the acute condition (mentioned above) but also the very long-standing chronic condition. Realizing this also frees me from my errors of opinion/s of my friend and loosens my perceptions of a long history of "emotional chaos" a smidgen away from identifying that personally with my friend to be able to see this particular pairing!
More can and may be said about the 29th Gene Key but next I want to note the lines that my friend has activated at Sacral Gate 29.
The following quotes are from:
"The Definitve Book Of Human Design - The Science Of Differentiation" by Lynda Bunnell.
Personality Mars and Design Venus are exactly conjunct at the first Line where the Gate is called "The Abysmal - Perseverance".:
Line 1 - "The draftee
The ability to adapt to struggle when neccessary but not as a pemanent state." (This is currently aplicable to my friend who expressed a need to not have to struggle.)
In its detriment: "A deep impressionability whose mark from times of struggle may make a return to normal conditions extremely difficult." (This matches the situation my friend is in.) "Hesitations in making commitments based on past experience."
Interesting to see the theme of "commitment" referred to here as this is in the Gene Key presentation!
Design Sun is at Line 5 - "Overreach
The tendency to bite off more than one can chew."
(Totally applicable in the situation that my friend is in and has been in for some number of years now.) In its detriment "... Saying yes, overextending one's resources, and failing to preserve."
The next set of Lines is for Personality Sun and Design North Node at Gate 14 (still at the Sacral Center).
Personality Sun at Line 2 - "Management"
If in exhaltation it would be: "The ability to delegate resonsibility. ... not trying to do everything alone."
Design North Node at Line 4 - "Security
The concentration on establishing a strong foundation."
If operating in exhaltation then: "... developing skills to ensure a strong foundation."
July 30th -
The Venus Sequence - Part 2 of the Golden Path Program.
"... the Venus Sequence provides you with a practical means of opening your heart fully to life. It is a self-led program that is easy to follow, exciting to participate in and very accessible.
The end result of the Venus Sequence is the ability to remain open-hearted on a permanent basis, no matter what life throws at you.
As we will all know, this is a grand claim! And yet the Venus Sequence stands alone as an extraordinary revelation that anyone can benefit from. The time of living as a victim is coming to an end, and a new epoch is at hand."
I whole-heartedly agree with Richard on this!
" The Venus Sequence is a wisdom to take us across this great threshold into an unknown but exhilarating future.
Personally speaking, the Venus Sequence represents the heart of my Life’s Work.
It has transformed my life and taught me how to be a full human being. It is an essential teaching for humanity at this time of the Great Change. I'm all grateful to recognize that this transmission is in my heart!

It's really good to know that "comfort" (or the lack thereof) does not serve as a guide or verification of one's path.

In my second issue of Transformations published in 1982 I featured an article by Dr. Chuck Spezzano on "Relationships: Our Magic Mirror" and also participated in his relationship workshop.
" And any relationship will serve this purpose. The Venus Sequence employs the Gene Keys and their line activations as the starting point for a progressive softening of your attitude in all your relationships. It opens up an inner dialogue between the ‘you of now’ and the ‘you as a child’.
'Seeing yourself as a multi-layered, multi-aged human being can be very revealing. The idea that you can continually integrate your childhood even as you age leads to a very fulsome life.'

It is important to understand that your Venus Sequence is an actual precoded awakening sequence lying dormant within your living DNA. As you turn into your suffering instead of flinching away from it, so you activate your personal Venus Sequence and a deep physical, emotional and mental change moves through the chemistry of your body. This is an experience that must be felt in order to be believed.

... One aspect of your sequence concerns the realignment of your Attractor Field – the aspect of your aura that ripples out into the world and stirs the currents of your karma."
