10 Days In!
Day 10 & my many adventures in fastingland
Date: 11/10/2013 4:21:29 AM ( 11 y ) ... viewed 642 times Day 10, just a short blog today, tired now - it's been a big one, and after a very late big drive home from Paddock Fest last night -- had a great time, so glad I went out in the end - was fine with the fasting, something that might have been difficult in years past, chalk it up to lots of experience and the fasting becoming much more natural and less taxing for the system.
Today I slept late after the late night out - had to see an old flame this morning for a few hours, picking up some stuff of his I still had, that was a bit emotional but nice - had a good walk in the park together with his new little dog and played a bit of piano for one another.. A good ending to this was heading out to see my friends punk band play - so any nostalgia was moved along nicely with the pop/punk tones of thrumming guitars, bass, drums..
an afternoon gig, had some tea before I left and brought a bottle of mineral water with peach shrubs added to sip on while I was out and on the drive... didn't stay long, just tired today after the big night, and when I left my trusty steed (Saab) broke down AGAIN! Well they say 3rd times a charm, in a very inconvenient spot - dying on me at the lights while I was idling at a big busy 3 way intersection... more fun & games... I had been counting mantras and so I recognized the opportunity to practice patience and relaxation as only a few impatient people honked and cursed at my little predicament... called the tow truck for the 2nd time in a week -- some cops pulled up and pushed me out of the road which was good tho they were kinda dicks.. as one wd expect I suppose... then a 2nd roadside assist van (the third callout now in a week.5) informed me the new alternator installed last week had cacked it - so tomorrow's monday, must call the service shop up and get them to come re-do the job I guess, shouldn't charge me anything so that much is good -- was a bit frazzed after all that - just slightly, had a couple of warm drinks and a nice phone call from bf who is back in only a couple days now, did some bits and pieces of office work I had to wrap up & now and thinking of winding it all down - nearly 9:30 - might lay down and read/listen to some music for a bit and do some hemi-sync lucid dreaming
Need a bit of a re-charge - more tomorrow!
