Horse Story
I have been dreaming and thinking a lot about horses lately.

MY HORSE STORY
Once upon a time, magestic horses ran wild.
They had free reign of expansive areas they called home.
They answered only to their own needs for food, water and mating.
Then came MEN.
Men saw the beauty and grace in the horse.
He saw their freedom.
He saw their swiftness and was jealous.
He said to himself:
“ Here is a beautiful, free creature! I must subdue it. I must gain its freedom, its strength and swiftness for my own use!”
The men said to themselves; “The horse can help me invade countries, to conquor them and rule them. I will make the horse my own!”
Men thought the horse would make a good slave. They would work until they dropped.
They never talked back, they would plow the fields, pull carriages, help herd cattle, and march grandly in parades.
They could get beaten, half starved, cursed at, and still they would walk, cantor, and even gallop on command, always responding to their owners wishes.
I heard stories of wild horses being rounded up for sale at auction, and other auctions selling old, abused horses and those not sold being killed for dog meat.
They wait at these auctions, wait for their fate, even after serving MAN for most of their lives.
Then I also heard stories of those horses being rescued and helped to heal.
In turn, they help to heal others.
I have had many dreams with horses.
Are they there to help heal me?
Or am I to help heal them?
Why am I thinking about this ....NOW?
Is it to give me freedom to allow more of my “wild side" to show?
To claim my “wildness”?
To claim the freedom to be and do the TRUE desires of my inner Self?
Why did this want to write itself and come into being TODAY?
