Day 4 of Journal, Day 4 of juice fast.
Lost another 3.2 pounds today. Losing quite a bit faster than anticpated. 4 day total of 9 pounds.

Weight 206; total loss 27 lbs, 9 lbs. since 8/4/2008
A.M. weight 206 lbs, 9 lbs lost on day 4 of juice fast.
I had a restful night sleep. I didn't make my rooibos tea. My tongue was pasty white. I glad I bought a tongue scaper at walmart yesterday. It really works well.
I made some oolong tea before I went to the gym. I also prepared about 12 oz. of diluted cranberry juice with green vibrance so I could have enough calories to get me through my workout.
Not feeling hungry this morning. The tea hit the spot. I started with 30 minutes in the dry sauna followed by 45 minutes of cardio. I finshed with 25 minutes of sauna. Did not feel light-headed at all. I did feel a little weak by the end of my workout. I drank a pear/blueberry juice once I arrived home.
I decided to take the kids to the beach today. We got a late afternoon start, but we find it's better to go later in the afternoon avoid the hot mid-day sun. I sip on come cold green tea I had left over from my Kombucha brew. I also placed a quart of cranberry/grape juice.
My kids have been a hard time adjusting to a cleaner diet. They have been good sports the past five weeks so I decided to give them a cheat day. They had some McDonalds on the way to the beach and some Papa John pizza on the way home. The McDonalds was no temptation whatsoever, but I must say, the pizza was quite tempting. Before I handed to my kids to devour, I opened the lid and took several deep smells. It smelled so wonderful. I just closed my eyes imaginng how it would taste so much better treating myself when I have lost 40 more pounds.
I then closed the lid and passed to my wife. She distributed the pizza to the hungry mob and it was gone in few minutes. My sense of smell seems to be more acute. I had a similar experience the first time I juice fasted for 9 days.
My son was sitting in the back of the van and he took a bit of the green pepper. I immediately commented to my wife it smelled like vinegar. My stomach growled a bit more this evening while they were eating the pizza.
I am proud of myself; I stuck to my guns and did not give in. I had to remind myself, 9 pounds in 4 days! Are you willing to trade that for a slice of pizza? No.
My wants to work out tonight, so I am on my way to the gym right now. Will update later.
