14 Day Juice Fast - Day 1
My first day on my juice fast! Not too bad.
Date: 7/10/2008 10:46:39 PM ( 16 y ) ... viewed 2144 times Well here it is the end of my first day! My juicer got here and its absolutely beautiful! I love love love love love it! The day has gone pretty well, I was a little bit nauseous earlier in the day today and I have had a pretty intense headache all day but that's the extent of it. Unfortunately I'm used to the headaches so that was nothing new to me. The hunger wasn't so bad either, it was more just my usual cravings, my wanting to eat just to eat. I LOVE eating!
I bought all my produce early today, I went to an all organic health food store and my goodness are they expensive! I picked up some all natural toothpaste and I already use Burt's Bees for my lotion and body washes. Here's a list of what I got:
*Oranges
*Grapefruits
*Pears
*Limes
*Carrots
*Beets
*Celery
*Spinach
*Yams
*Coconut milk (also organic)
*Cucumbers
*Ginger
*Apples
*Pineapple
I think that is a good list to start with. The juices are absolutely amazing! My first one was Carrots, Apples and Celery and my second one was an Orange, Pear with a touch of lime. Gawd they were good! and with only 13 more days left to go ;-)
I just have to remember to keep a good attitude, it really does make the difference! It has been a bit of a stressful day today though, we have wildfires all around us and they are moving at a rate of 400 acres an hour. The biggest one (1400 acres consumed so far) is only a 30 minute drive just east from us and we have heavy winds blowing our direction. We also have a smaller one about 30 minutes south of us. I have been pretty much glued to the TV all day, which probably helped fuel my headache. My heart goes out to all the people loosing their homes, having their lives uprooted like that. Life has a funny way of changing everything in a split second. Be happy in the moment and live each day as it comes! It can all change so fast.
Its so scary how our country is changing right now between the economy and global warming...goodness!!!! That's about all I can say!
Anywhooo, I keep my fingers crossed that tomorrow will be easy! HA
