“What do depression and dry unruly hair have in common?”

In America today, some say that over 50% of prescriptions written in this country are written for anti-depressants.

In Japan, the depression rate is approximately 1%. This is a far cry from the U.S.

A clinical study done by Dr. Michael Schmidt from Northwestern University, found that in areas of Japan where fishing communities abound, psychiatrist could find no cases of depression.

In cultures that eat lots of cold water fish there seemed to be little-to-no depression problems in their culture.

CAN YOU IMAGINE LIVING IN A COMMUNITY WITH NO DEPRESSION???

So what’s the link between depression and dry unruly hair? Well, Dr. Schmidt says it’s a lack of EFA’s. I AGREE!

What’s going on???

What’s causing the richest country in the world to be the sad and depressed?

Let do some root digging!!!

Some of the major disorders causing depression are:

Candida
Constipation
Thyroid disorders
Diabetes
Arthritis
Adrenal insufficiency
Hormone imbalance
Medications
Toxic liver
Chronic Fatigue
Fibromyalgia
Brain chemical imbalances
Some prescription drugs
Lack of sleep
STRESS
And a whole lot more……

Now let’s dig a little deeper

If you have depression - it does not mean you have a deficiency of an anti-depressant, it means there is a problem. Depression is a symptom!

As I have gone a digging – I have found various root causes of depression.
Most related to the food on the fork!

Aspartame can cause depression (primarily due to the Methanol content of Aspartame).
Did you ever think a diet soda could make you depressed?

Other reasons for depression:

Amalgam fillings – due to the mercury content!
Metal in teeth, depression in brain!!! Yikes
Steroid drugs
Birth control pills
Sugar, sugar, sugar can make you sad and fat and then you are in a vicious cycle.
Trans fatty acids give you high cholesterol and make you depressed!
Excess caffeine
Nutritional deficiencies
Toxic liver – according to the Chinese the liver is the seat of emotion, AND I agree.

ONLY A MEDICAL DOCTOR CAN DIAGNOSE AND TREAT CLINICAL DEPRESSION, BUT THERE ARE THINGS YOU CAN DO TO ALLEVIATE THE OCCASIONAL BLUE FEELING THAT EVERYONE EXPERIENCES FROM TIME TO TIME.*

Both diet soda or non-diet sodas can make worse those occasional blue feelings. Cut them out!

Mango helps to alleviate the blues - due to its Anacardic Acid and Anacardiol content.*

Ashwagandha - 6000mg per day for 2 months helps to moderate the occasional blues. Go figure, who cares if you can't say it, just take it!*

I know it's like beating a dead horse, but you've got to start with cleansing. You must get the bad stuff out and put the good things in! This will help to alleviate the occasional blues.*

Begin your cleanse with a Candida cleanse to get you started off on the right foot. It will help with those "down" feelings as well as keep you from craving those horrible foods - Like sugar, sugar, sugar!!! Diet or otherwise!*

While you are doing the Candida cleanse, do a liver cleanse, too, so that you get rid of those bad fats and your liver can metabolize the good stuff and get it in your system quicker – as well as metabolize your hormones.*

Your whole family will thank you for it!

Next – you must supplement to get back on track!

Essential Fatty Acids are a must!

A good supplement with amino acids, 5-HTP, DHEA, DMAE and more.*

A good mineral supplement, a liquid preferably is excellent. It gets in the system quickly and can do wonders immediately.*

A good B-Complex – in fact it will help with depressions, nervousness, sleep, stress, and just about anything else that ails you.*

A good food based vitamin can work wonders.*

Clinical studies have shown that by taking up to 3000 mg of Vitamin C per day the blues can be subtantially reduced. You’ll also look better and boost that immune of yours that gets drug through the mud when you’re feeling down!!*

And some type of aerobic exercise!!! Get those muscles moving and that heart a beating!

Studies show exercise really promotes feelings of well being and optimism.
And Val’s study shows you even look better.
