Thank you leslie   18 y
to be endowed a few minutes of your reading and replying is an honour.

Leo Buscaglia Perfect love is rare indeed - for to be a lover will require that you continually have the subtlety of the very wise, the flexibility of the child, the sensitivity of the artist, the understanding of the philosopher, the acceptance of the saint, the tolerance of the scholar and the fortitude of the certain. Dear Leslie, Indeed, self-love is life’s vitamin. Self-love requires one to be the loved and the lover. Self-love requires the understanding of the nuance in giving and receiving. Self-love cannot be taught, only revealed with discovery. Self-love is what refi ...   read more

You give me something   18 y
i can't help it if a guy can play the guitar, has a sexy voice and exudes an irresistible charm--comeon, i'm a gal.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rP4wfJLPxlA&mode=related&search= You want to stay with me in the morning You only hold me when I sleep, I was meant to tread the water Now I’ve gotten in too deep, For every piece of me that wants you Another piece backs away. ’Cause you give me something That makes me scared, alright, This could be nothing But I’m willing to give it a try, Please give me something ’Cause someday I might know my heart. You already waited up for hours Just to spend a little time alone with me, And I can say I’ve never bought you flowers I can’t work ...   read more

Word of caution to self about faith   18 y
1. What assumptions is the author making in the text?--check credibility and application 2. What can I learn from this text?--there is always a lesson to be had

Faith is not belief in spite of evidence, but life in scorn of consequences -- a courageous trust in the great purpose of all things, and pressing forward to finish the work which is in sight, whatever the price may be.-Kirsopp Lake I was reading about the history of Christianity and it has led me to re-think the question of the espoused ideas of the bible. Not only does it seem that the bible is, in part, a compilation of widely popular, mindfully-attractive myths created to enhance the existence of God and garner greater support from the masses, the development of Christiani ...   read more

Sweet Revenge    18 y
Matthew 5:38-42 Romans 12:17-21 for first 3 days

Sweet Revenge (Matthew 5:38-42, Romans 12:17-21) By: Chip Bell Th.M. Matthew 5:38-42 Romans 12:17-21 July 25, 20041 Introduction Around 120 A.D., a Roman satirist named Juvenal wrote these words: Indeed, it’s always a paltry, feeble, tiny mind that takes pleasure in revenge. You can deduce it without further evidence than this, that no one delights more in vengeance than a woman. Ladies, how do you feel about that? Don’t you just want to kill the man that said that? I’ve got good news for you. He’s already been dead for almost 2000 years. You know, when I hear this, I j ...   read more

A letter to my anger    18 y
Anger ventilated often hurries towards forgiveness; anger concealed often hardens into revenge.- Sir Henry Bulwer

Anger is the most impotent of passions. It effects nothing it goes about, and hurts the one who is possessed by it more than the one against whom it is directed. Author: Edward Hyde Clarendon If I were asked at the end of this sabbatical and recuperation the most torturous situation I had to endure, I would say the regurgitation of suppressed emotional issues. One of which is latent anger, barrels of it. I am angry. I am very angry. I am searingly angry. At my parents. For scarring me physically, emotionally and mentally from a young age. For the sadistic manic attacks that knew ...   read more

A Follower’s Messiah - Mark 2:1-3:6 By: Jeff Miller , Th.M. Introduction: One of the most powerful movies in recent years is the epic film Gladiator. At the beginning of the film, the aging Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius has a private conversation with Maximus, his most trusted and successful military commander. During this dialogue, the Emperor communicates his desire that Maximus succeed him as “Protector of Rome” instead of the Emperor’s evil son, Commodus. Shortly after this conversation, Marcus Aurelius privately gives Commodus the same information. But the ambitious Commod ...   read more

A pastor visited me today    18 y
If I rise out of this crisis a changed gal, I will be God's testimony of miracles. When I have conquered all, I can fulfil my promises to God to heal all the sick who seek me. A healer, teacher and servant of God. From the moment I accept God and walk in earnest faith, I am re-born. A God's child.

Isaiah 57 57:1 The godly 1 perish, but no one cares. 2 Honest people disappear, 3 when no one 4 minds 5 that the godly 6 disappear 7 because of 8 evil. 9 57:2 Those who live uprightly enter a place of peace; they rest on their beds. 10 57:3 But approach, you sons of omen readers, you offspring of adulteresses and prostitutes! 11 57:4 At whom are you laughing? At whom are you opening your mouth and sticking out your tongue? You are the children of rebels, the offspring of liars, 12 57:5 you who practice ritual sex 13 under the oaks and ever ...   read more

I have always been delighted at the prospect of a new day, a fresh try, one more start, with perhaps a bit of magic waiting somewhere behind the morning. - J. B. Such appreciation, if absent, is a tragedy

”Happiness is sharing a bowl of cherries and a book of poetry with a shade tree. He doesn’t eat much and doesn’t read much, but listens well and is a most gracious host.” If the weather was kinder and parks abound in my city, I shall be doing just that, indulging in nature’s silence. Thank you for the compliment. I believe you are a poetry-lover too. Only those who seek truths, freedom, beauty and love can truly appreciate the wonders of ordinary language raised to the nth power. in life. Well, thank you for receiving the entry with such a big heart. In the past, revealing weakne ...   read more

Happy Birthday Papa   18 y
gift

Happy 49th Birthday Papa I remember weeks ago during a rash moment of anger, I smashed my father’s glass. As his birthday was arriving, what better gift that a replacement cup? I was at the university when I saw a cool brand ”Slurp” which boxed porcelain mugs. The mug I bought him was a crayon-like design with a comic relief of a kid. Overhead, printed ”COOL DUDE”. I think he liked it. He was all smiles when he opened the gift.   visit the page

"Goals are like stepping-stones to the stars. They should never be used to put a ceiling or a limit on achievement." -- Denis Waitley

Hope-- collection of continual thoughts(think)-- beliefs(know i can, sure enough factor)-- change expectations (can)-- change attitude n behavior(living with the UNcomfortable, feel alone)-- change performance-- change life=success Problem:change attitude n behavior(living with the uncomfortable, feel alone) Leroy Eims said, ”How can you know what is in your heart? treatment isn't recovery…treatment is discovery. http://www2.oprah.com/tows/pastshows/200511/tows_past_20051128.jhtml

The Oprah Winfrey Show’s first investigation into this insidious drug occurred earlier this year when we met Chantel, a blonde, 17-year-old all-American addict. After an on-air intervention conducted by Chantel’s mother, Penni, sister Kortnie and addiction specialist Debra Jay, Chantel left our stage and headed to rehab. On her ride to the airport to transport her to rehab at the Caron Foundation, Chantel pleaded to be able to not go. Chantel did go, however, and weeks later spoke from rehab about her struggles with cravings. ”I had a really bad one the other night. I really tasted i ...   read more

“Beauty is ever to the lonely mind a shadow fleeting; she is never plain. She is a visitor who leaves behind the gift of grief, the souvenir of pain.” Christopher Morley quotes (American writer and editor 1890-1957) Dear gal, I write in empathy and instruction. In the midst of your storm,it is favourable for a pause; remind of past sucess, reaffirm future goals, re-kindle forgotten guiding flames and re-check problematic ways. Everything in life is a working progress; your ultimatum will only be revealed when you appear in front of God’s council upon your return ”home”. What ple ...   read more
