Day 7 - 197 lbs. (-12)   18 y
And the tears that I cried for that woman, are gonna flood you Big River. Then I'm gonna sit right here until I die.

Nothing new to report. Lemonade. Salt water. Tea. Bowel movements. That about covers it. Approximately 80% of our air pollution stems from hydrocarbons released by vegetation, so let’s not go overboard in setting and enforcing tough emission standards from man-made sources. Update   18 y
Every question that I ask, I get a lie, lie, lie. For every lie you tell, you're gonna cry, cry, cry.

This Master Cleanse has more ups and downs than the DJIA. Today, my back pain is gone for the most part. That changes my outlook on finishing strong with this cleanse. And, I feel pretty good. I was starting to wonder if I would. Serious energy.   visit the page

Day 6 -198 lbs (-11)   18 y
Down with Mike D. and it ain't no hassle Got the ladies of the eighties from here to White Castle

I was full of energy on day 6, but was not feeling the greatest all around. I have some lower back issues that are really dogging me. Thinking about going to a Napropath. Anyone with any advise or experience with a Napropath??? The back pain I have has heightened the last few days. I have to wonder if its from the cleanse? Anyway, I am seriously thinking about breaking this fast a day early. I am giving up on the thoughts of eating BBQ at my company picnic, however I do want to go out to breakfast on Sunday with my kids for Father’s Day. People I know keep asking me if I would ...   read more

Day 5 - 199 lbs.(-10)   18 y
If you try to knock me you'll get mocked I'll stir fry you in my wok Your knees'll start shaking and your fingers pop Like a pinch on the neck of Mr. Spock

Ok I have lost 10 lbs in 5 days on this cleanse. That’s kind of cool I guess. THe last two days were rough, in terms of fighting off the temptation to eat. My wife and I went to this Ice Cream joint that we like. I watched as she ate deep fried mini-tacos and a peanut butter sundae as I drank water. That sucked. I really wanted a Chicago style hot-dog with the works, rolled in bread crumbs, deep fried and then smothered in cheese sauce. Or Texas style french fries with covered in chilli, bacon, sour cream, and cheddar cheese. Oh well only 5 more days to go and they are all work ...   read more

Day 4 is in the books   18 y
Most illingest b-boy - I got that feeling Cause I am most ill and I'm rhymin' and stealin'

First real test today. Its Saturday, so no work to keep me distracted. I woke up real early and took care of my SWF and got a sloppy BM out of the way before 7:30. I heard the kids start to stir so I started breakfast for them. It was just scrambled eggs and toast. No big deal, right? Never has something as simple as eggs and toast looked so appetizing. Both of the kids were very hungry and ate several slices of toast combined. Some with melted butter and grape jelly, some with melted butter, cinnamon, and a wee bit of sugar. Damn, it was all I could do not to jam a whole ...   read more

Day 3, Part II - Getting better   18 y
Feeling strong, not losing my mind.

I think this fasting actually does become routine. It sucks, and I am hungry, but I am not starving to death. I am also beginning to feel an energy kick at the end of day 3. I am not a mess and I can be around people. I have nothing real big to report, its going well I think.   visit the page

Day 3, Part I - I quit and I'm going to McDonald's   18 y
I ain't doing this sh#t anymore

Psych your mind. Just foolin’. Everything is good. Had another excellent BM this morning at about 5:15am. Didn’t neeed to SWF to get it all to come out in the end. After struggling back and forth I went ahead and drank the SWF anyway. I am hungry this morning. On a normal day, and I was this hungry, I would be going to the bakery for a couple long johns and a chocolate milk. Or maybe a ”to go” order of buscuits and gravy from the greasy spoon. I could really go for any number of treats found spinning on the old gas station hot dog rotisserie. Jalepeno cheddar brats from the ...   read more

Day 2, Part II - Careful what you ask for   18 y
Word to your moms, I came to drop bombs....

First of all, any sugestions for a raw and brutalized crackhole? The rest of day two was a breeze except for the continuous bathroom trips. I was so pleased with my morning bm that I decided to do another SWF at about 1:00pm. I should have given it a rest because I didn’t stop droppin’ science until 7:30pm. My hind end needs a break. To me the greatest part of this so far is the fact that I have not had any serious nicotine withdrawel. Its been ok. Even the no eating part of this has not been a tradgedy. Although, it is hard walking in the door after a hard days work and smellin ...   read more

Little Problem - got questions.   18 y
Somebody jabbed an ice-pick through my temple.

Dude, major headache. Possibly the all-time worst. Most likely from the caffiene deprivation. One question for cleanse veterans: Can anything be done? Or do I just deal?   visit the page

Day 2, Part 1 - Got Poo?   18 y
Morning happenings from Day Two - finally, the dominating bowell movement.

5:25am - Woke up and started to mix my Salt Water Flush. 5:28am - Before I could get the sea salt disloved, its POTTY TIME! Decent BM, nothing to brag about though. I know there is massive explosion in this gut. Its bound to come out sometime. 5:55am - Despite already having a decent BM, I decide to drink the SWF anyway. I mixed more sea salt this time, hope it works. I slam it home. 7:05am - Leave for work, somewhat worried about having an emergency in my car, I have serious rumblings. 8:00am - Drink first cup of Lemonade. 8:23am - Oh yeah, here it is. Time to release ...   read more

Day1, Part II - So far, its easy going.   18 y
I am feeling pretty good, not going crazy with hunger.

The rest of the day went pretty well. I wasn’t pleased about only having 1 small BM in the morning but overall the day went well. I am not used to drinking this much liquid, and am always feeling very bloated. The upside of that is that I am not experiencing earth shattering hunger pangs. So, all is good for now. I have not had any ”real” cravings for food, cigarettes, coffee, or beer. I missed those things on Day 1 but I wasn’t devestated by not having them. I have had minor aches and pains thoughout my body. My lower back has been really sore. Back pain is usually chronic for ...   read more

Day 1, Part I - The Beginning   18 y
First salt water chug, BM, and lemonade go reasonably well.

5:00am - Woke up with excitement. Ready to get the juices flowing,ha ha. I mixed the 32 oz. sea salt chug and downed it in three chugs. Its not easy to slam 32oz. of any liquid, let alone warm salt water. I damn near tossed it right back up. 5:15am - Mixed up 30 oz. of lemonade for the morning and lunch. It smells good. I am eager to try it. 5:30am - Went back to bed to lie down. Waiting for the belly rumbles. No troubles yet. 5:40am - Still no rumbles. 5:50am - No Poo yet. 6:01am - Yahtzee! But not quite the motherload BM I was expecting. In fact I have had better ...   read more

Day 0 - The Night Before   18 y
On the eve of the master cleanse I reflect on the fact that I don't understand liberals.

Looking forward to tomorrow and getting things underway. Had a little trouble eating today because I had no appetite, probably because I am so excited about the Master Cleanse. Basically had one small meal at dinner time, and that was it for the day. Don’t know if that is good or bad, I just didn’t feel like eating. Went to an organic foods outlet to pick up the Grade B Maple Syrup. It was my first time ever in this type of store. A few days ago I would have probably starved to death if I was forced to buy my food there. Tree-hugging hippie types crack me up. They go to great len ...   read more

Master Cleanse and Me   18 y
Out of shape guy tries the Master Cleanse.

This past April was rough. We got some nice weather here in Northern Illinois. I think the third weekend in April brought 75 degree weather. So, like a bear waking from hybernation, I went outside and stretched my legs only to discover that half the neighborhood was doing the same. My neighbors. Nice, good people but they represent an avenue to what has become my achilles heel. DRINKING IN MY YARD...with my neighbors. So that April day, while my intentions were to pick up the yard and clean the garage, turned into an all day party that included about 20 neighbors and 6 cases of ...   read more
