Blog: Far Infrared Sauna / Detox
I'm wondering if any other people out there have used a far infrared sauna for detox when nothing else has worked.
After 2 years of trying other alternatives, the far infrared sauna I use is the only thing that really helps.

yes, they are great. i am improving now. i had chemical poisoning, very severe, and i took about 150 saunas to get the bulk of it out. it was a big job. during the process i got rid of alot of heavy metals. i love the sauna - bought my own and highly recommend it. i read a study of the infra red saunas, and out of 12 disabled people, 11 were abot to get back to work within 6 months. pretty great stuff.
i'm glad it helped you!

Thanks for the info. I've heard from a few different people locally that it has really helped them and the place I go to use the sauna has lot of testimonials.
I'm currently using a Clearlight infrared sauna and am thinking of just buying one instead of paying the spa twice a week. Do you know this one? It's made in the US, large heaters, cedar, etc. It looks great!! I thnk there web site is http://www.clearlightsaunas.com.
I really notice the difference using it twice a week. How long did it take to get up to 150 sessions?
Thanks...

I didn't know clearlight, but they sure look promising (real far infrared emitters, lifetime warranty, ...)
Be sure to read this as well :
http://www.infrared-sauna-reference.com/sunlight-sauna.html
They seem to have the heaters with the largest surface available and the larger the surface, the more therapeutic the effect it seems.
Rgds.

I actually bought a Clearlight Infrared Sauna a couple months back and I highly recommend one. It definitely is great for detoxification and just to keep your overall immune system strong. I've heard many people say they haven't been sick in years since they started using an Infrared Sauna.
The website for Clearlight Infrared Sauna is actually href=http://www.infraredsauna.com>www.infraredsauna.com
They also have a great customer service and a lifetime warranty on their infrared saunas.

Well this is good ... I was wondering if anyone could say anything about the infra sauna. It seems to cover a multitude of sins if it does what it says it does... Is that the truth??? Will it pull out toxins in general? If the body gets hot maybe it kills parasites???

It seems hard to believe everything they say about infrared saunas.
Most information comes from manufacturers or vendors.
I have an infrared sauna myself and for me it works great.
A website that seems to offer impartial information with contributions from people that actually own an infrared sauna is http://www.infrared-sauna-reference.com

- Sauna benefits by Robert Perrett

Can anyone tell me if infared sauna differs from dry sauna,in its benefits, and if so,how and why.
I have just bought a secondhand vibrosaun, [older model, but still works just the same as the new ones]to help with effects of heavy matals and mercury toxicity, resulting in cronic fatigue, terrible skin condition, digestion problems, and more. The type of unit can be seen on vibrosaun.com ...and it works by dry heat.
With Thanks.

saunas (whatever sauna) have definitely some benefits, but they are no replacement for selfresponsibility.
Many people nowadays like 'tools' that do the healing for them and think that this will solve their problems - far from it!
The correct fasting for example with the right nutrition after can be an (unbeatable?) detox for the body.
Exercise that make us sweet is also not really behind the benefits of a sauna.
Than most important: do we poisson ourselfs again right after the detox?
Most people would need more than just tools they need a complete change of lifestyle.
Blessings

Yes,
We have analyzed and measured sweat from exercise and sweat from infrared tharapy such as saunas. The sweat from infrared saunas has 60% more metals and toxins in it. I'll try and post the report later. After these readings we ordered 3 more saunas for our parctice and have has good response. Careful when you shop though and get the carbon panels. We only found 2 manufactures we really liked - C

If any body else would like to inquire or buy directly from the importers. There is a company called Saunatech in South Africa. There web address is Http://www.saunatech.co.za. The prices are very affordable. Aka the ultimate detox cabin or wellness cabins. See there website for all the benefits.

I have. I have an infrared sauna in my house. I use it about two times a week. I haven't had any cold since I've been using it. When I start to feel a cold coming on, I just go into the sauna and then it kills it off. I'm rather grateful I have one. My skin also looks amazing after I have one too. I can also think clearer, therefore I presume something positive is happening within my body. i.e. expelling toxins.
My sauna is just a little tyke - a tiny little baby of a sauna :p - http://www.divapor.com/sauna-solo-basswood/basswood-solo-sauna.php

My girlfriend purchased an infrared sauna for weight loss last year. I thought it was a joke until I started using it. The first time in I started sweating almost instantly and when i got out 30 min later I noticed that the towel was brown.I did a search on my computer and found these were the toxins coming out of my body. So I started using it everyday and feel a noticeable difference in my health and immune system. I never really get sick and if so it is only for a short period of time and it never gets really bad. Also, when i have a hangover from drinking to much...I just do a 30 min session and my headache goes away. I suggest that everyone buy one of these little gems.
I have tried many Infrared Sauna and found that the best ones are made by Clearwave Infrared Sauna. They have a combination heater that we just upgraded to from our ceramic heaters and these are a must have. Check them out at http://www.infraredsauna.com

I'm looking to purchase an infrared sauna. I had a chance to use one a couple weeks ago in San Francisco at a spa. It made me feel great! Does anyone know of any good manufacturers? There are too many options on the internet.

I actually just upgraded my infrared sauna a couple weeks back. I did a lot of research on the internet and it took me months to choose one. I found that the best infrared sauna is made by Clearlight Infrared Sauna. They have the best infrared heaters on the market because they utilize both ceramic and carbon elements. They have the only combination heater on the market and the craftsmanship is amazing. I had a Clearlight one person infrared sauna, but since I recently moved I had room for a bigger one. So, I sold it online and purchased a four person from the same dealer. Just check out their website they have a wealth of information.

As far as my experience is concerned FIR saunas have powerful healing abilities, only not if used as normally directed. What I found is it’s not a series of intense sprints but a slower paced marathon which will give you the victory over disease.
Recently I came down with a nasty infection which was diagnosed as a type of walking pneumonia. Happily I was already an owner of a sauna (the cheap $300 portable kind) and began diligently following the instruction of the “experts” which is at least 5 sessions a day for 15 minutes at high heat (125F to 160F). My symptoms only seemed to worsen, and while looking at FIRS websites for more helpful advice I came across this ancient observation by none other than the father of modern medicine, Hippocrates.
“Give me a fever, and I can cure any disease.”
Interested I started investigating and discovered that fevers are now believed to be beneficial in that they seem to empower the immune system while simultaneously weakening invaders - who prefer it cool while performing their dirty work.
So I started wondering how temperatures of 115 up to 160F were going to help fight sickness when a typical fever is considered high at only 102F. Also, how many times have you run a fever that stopped after only 15 minutes? My illness was producing nothing over 98F… was this the reason I was having so much trouble getting over it?
At this point I decided to take Hippocrates to his word and use my modern technology to mimic a natural fever as closely as possible. I found I could sweat quite adequately (after an initial high temperature kick start) with the machine at its lowest power setting, even turning it off completely for stretches. When I began to stop sweating I heated it up again, and found I could spend hours inside without the fatigue or high heart rate of normally prescribed temps.
After one day of three two hour sessions (with short bathroom/hydration breaks included) I slept like a baby and awoke nearly symptom free. In fact I felt better than I had in a long time… and it’s been that way since – as I now try to incorporate these longer sessions into my free time. My theory is that parasitic microorganisms are tougher then we realize and it takes a prolonged siege to dislodge them from our bodies.
One word of caution… I was already an experienced FIRS user and these longer sessions apparently may be dangerous if you aren’t already broken in. This is especially so for users with heart issues, the elderly or very sick.
Otherwise why not take Hippocrates up yourself and see what other ailments can be cured with this remarkable device, perhaps “fever simulator” is a better term for them.
Good luck and let me know how it goes.
