Blog: Cleaning Up My Act
I've been doing SWFs every other day in order to have bowel movements.
This week I've cut out meat (except fish) and alcohol in addition to junk foods. But my appetite is still huge. I've been eating mostly salads, veggies, fish and white rice. Still gaining weight.
And I'm still getting by on just half a sleeping pill a night.
By the end of the week I should be trying to eat as much raw food as possible with lots of juice, and next Monday I begin the fast.

Lobelia helps with smoker's trying to quit, and is super just for that, be sure if you try lobelia to get fresh or high quality organic sourced, and tincture is best (imho).
For sleep kava kava may help some, valerian, skullcap, and even melatonin can all help. For weight issues, I'd recommend finding out your metabolic type, taking your bodyfat percentage monthly, and adjusting your diet by what metabolic type eating plan you match up with RE> Dr. Tony Perrone's Bodyfat Breakthru! Also combining that metabolic type eating plan with EAT RIGHT FOR YOUR BLOOD TYPE is a super way to go, along with lot's of the cleanses and fasts you are preparing to do.
Hope this helps some, I am sure there is far more information here, and from others that may assist your searching here. P.S. Sleeping pills are CRAP, SUPER DANGEROUS, and it's VERY IRRESPONSIBLE for the doc's to give them... DON't DO IT!!!
They have VERY bad side effects... I know, I used to run a nursing care facility.
Check your pharmacists "side effects" or "contraindications" sheet listed with the medication for THE TRUTH. It just could MAKE YOU FAT all by itself, NO MATTER what you do. Remember, Medical Doctors in the U.S. are the 3rd leading cause of death by mistake alone, and medical drugs #4 by contraindication. I'd STOP taking that death medicine IMMEDIATELY!

I also quit smoking about 11 days ago and am suffering from the constipation blues! I hate it. I feel really bloated and when I do have a bm, its really hard to get out. I am thinking about taking some metamucil until I get over it. I don't want to get hemorroids from pushing too hard.
I am planning a lemonade fast also. Don't know when, but I feel very toxic also.

Congratulations on quitting smoking! Yes, the constipation sucks, and you might find that not even metamucil helps much. BMs with no help are pretty small. I've needed to do SWFs every few days just to get some relief and I don't know how much longer it'll take for this to pass (pun intended).
