JENNIFER AHDOUT “ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE.” After graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Los Angeles, she achieved her medical degree with Alpha Omega Alpha honors, the highest level of recognition for excellence in scholarship and ideals in the profession of medicine. After an internship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in medicine, she finished her residency in dermatology at the University of California, Irvine, where she served as the chief of volunteer and satellite clinics. She has also conducted research on psoriasis, co-authored a paper on the role of topical and oral vitamins in photoaging for the American Academy of Dermatology, and authored a noteworthy paper and chapter in a prominent dermatology textbook on alopecia. Dr. Ahdout has received numerous accolades throughout her career, including the American Medical Women’s Association Glasgow-Rubin Citation for Academic Excellence, the UCLA Chancellor’s Service Award and several scholarships. However, her greatest achievement thus far has been her leadership role in establishing a free dermatology clinic in Orange County to serve the needs of uninsured members of the community. |
