close detail of intestinal worm. This specimen came a day after a coffee enema and was about two inches long. I rinsed it off pretty well. Although it looks like one big worm with a head, from what I could see, it was actually a clear encasement that held a nest of worms. In fact, I could see the worms moving (very, very slowly) in this portion for several hours. I was really freaked out looking at it and tried unsuccessfully to take a video. If you look at the larger picture closely though, you can see changes in how the nest arrangement from one to the other picture.
