Biting Midge - Larvae
Parasites 20160312 233943
Larvae expel enzymes to feed on the flesh of their host. Colors of the threads are green, blue and red. When I found these on my skin I wondered how thread had gotten onto the larvae. They have horns and hooks on their skin so it was not impossible they collected the threads like a Trash Bug collects items to protect itself before it has changed its shape/form.
