proboscis
If it looks like a duck (turn your head sideways)..this appears TO ME to be a proboscis, i.e. a nose with a drill-like appearance...sorta like those seen in acanthocephalans...spiny headed worms. It came from a bite in my arm, and is folded inward, possibly a defensive move since I extracted it from a "bite."
(Sorry, late edit-- turn it 90 degrees clockwise, so the dark part is on the right hand side)
For best capture of early invader: use clear nail polish.allow to dry before peeling.
