from nose as blood clot - rinsed in water
What is unusual about this specimen is that it seems to have an internal cavity which retained blood even after being soaked in water for two days. All other "clots" rinsed like this become nearly transparent. This is the only one of its kind I have seen so far. Unfortunately, the specimen was accidentally lost down the drain and this is the only photo.
