borage flower, deep blue
I just saw this, clicked on it, and discovered I'd uploaded it!
what a gas!
:-)
What a gorgeous flower. Such a sweet little star. Ask the plant
if you may have a blossom to eat! ( they love to be asked, but most people don't.--and to their credit, they don't hold a grudge.)
There is a delicious delicate pink-purple tinge to the centre --
Lovely in cucumber sandwhiches, and very cooling, in a glass of iced tea or lemonade. Actually, it DOES cool the body, you can eat the leaves and the flowers in salads, or, in a cold cucumber soup: remember to make this with organic cucumber, (organic vegetable broth you make yourself) virgin olive oil and organic yogurt. cracked black pepper and mmmmm!
If you make it all yourself, it's not a mere 'soup', it's
a unique kind of feast. You'll see.... It's like the difference between a supermarket ( and now GM's and waxed) tomato and one that LIVES!
You only need a touch of the latter to feel deeply FED.
and appreciative.
