Re: IP6 and Iron?
by Newport 13 y
IP6 does not bind completely to Hg so best to use it right after you take your other chelators.
Best to take 2gm per day for 5 days to clear the rust. I would also take NAC with the ALA to make sure the IP6 targets rust.
The main issue is quality of IP6, in its raw form digestibility becomes an issue and with a lot of companies the ratio of IP6 to Inositol is prohibitive.

Re: Anyone seen a mineral this high on hair test?
by Newport 15 y
You might want to add some IP6 to your chelation protocol to remove rust.
I find it best to take it after the ALA\DMSA has been absorbed so 30-45m after.
Dose should be +2g of IP6, for this purpose IP6 without extra inositol might be best:

Re: IP6 & teeth sensitivity - UPDATE
by krosser 13 y
Well, after 2 weeks on IP6 I can reassure everyone that that teeth sensitivity was just a temporary thing. I have had it for only 2 days after I started taking IP6 and it wasn’t that bad after all.
Over the past 2 weeks I even tried increasing the dosage up to 4gr (3gr + 1gr) of IP6 + 1300mg (2x650mg) a day and didn’t have any problems with my teeth.
I’m still taking it early in the morning but just 2gr.
Will let you know if anything changes.

Well, I had had exostosis years before I became a pro athlete. So, I assume there is something else. My osteopath told me it’s related to my posture. Not sure.
I take plenty of dietary supplements but I don’t take calcium as I thought it might increase the size of exostoses.
What supplements would you suggest?
Regarding veins, I’ve recently started taking Horsetail (silica) and vitamin C (up to 4000-5000mg a day). Will see if it works.

Roller coaster is right - I thought I went through the worst of the hg detox my first week of IP6 but the beginning of the last week (of my month on IP6) was the ABSOLUTE WORST since I began detoxing last year.
All of the symptoms come hard and fast - RLS, chest pain, hard to breathe, painful knee joints, facial twitching, waking every hour and the most terrifying dreams.
Of course, that’s after taking your advice, Newport, and upping my dose to 4 G/day. ;-)

no, I did not experience any worsening immediately following mercury removal. If the procedure is done correctly and you use some kind of binding agent before and after the procedure, there is absolutely nothing to worry about.
If you wait for yourself to get better before you have the mercury out, you might just be waiting forever. If mercury is causing you problems, why will you get better before removing it?

I found that when I could feel them moving in my gut/liver, (the big tapeworms are mean to kill), that taking an oil like coconut oil, or 1 TB of castor oil at bedtime made them quiet down too, and helped penetrate their skin so the herbs could kill them. Coconut oil has lauric acid and caprylic acid, and castor oil has undecylenic acid. Both also kill candida, which Newport says goes with both moving metals out, and killing parasites.

Re: Lugol, ALA, IP-6, SeMSC at the same time - possible?
by bm303 13 y
Why would you take Lugol? It is not a chelator. This is like the people who say chlorella is a chelator while basic chemistry would tell you that a single thiol can’t chelate mercury. It isn’t a chelator.
Selenomethionine is the form of selenium you want to be taking, not SeMSC.
Also why the IP6? There is no need for it.
If you are chelating heavy metals all you need is ALA(DMPS,DMSA optional) and a few supplements(C,E,Zinc,Mg,Fish/flax oil).

The following are resources for those learning about Cutler Protocol heavy metal detox.
The heavy metal detox protocols in the writings of Andy Cutler, PhD Chemistry, tend to be more conservative than some of the other detox methods you’ll come across.
Cutler encouraged the use of low-dose oral chelation rather than high dose IV chelation.
Along with the three chelators he most commonly recommended--Lipoic Acid, DMPS, DMSA--he encouraged people to take additional antioxidants--vitamin C, E, maybe selenium and others--to provide protection from the heavy metals mobilized by the ...
