About two years ago, a sebaceous cyst formed under the skin on the back of my neck. It started out small for a while, then one day it suddenly grew large and painful. I went to a dermatologist, and he numbed the area, lanced the cyst, and drained it. About nine months later it suddenly got large again, and he did the same procedure as stated above, but this time he went a little deeper and probed around to try and get the membrane of the cyst.
