My odor did deminish with a colonic session and that’s probably due to lesser amounts of secondary tmau in your gut. However, I wouldn’t do it again as it has washed out a lot of my good bacteria and the smell comes back. We need to find the root of the problem and get a cure. Cleaning it out only relieves the odor temporarily. Hope that helps.   [End]

Hi all, We have been lingering around forums for hours on a day and tried every protocol possible including anti candida, low fodmap diet, atkins and etc. There isn’t a one cure protocol as everyone is different and to be honest I haven’t seen anyone having real long term success with FBO. Hi there, You might have cterial overgrowth / candida / flora imbalance. Vitamin c is known to combat bad gut bacteria that produces toxin. Google it up. The vitamin c may be killing off the buggers with high doses. Considering you can’t smell yourself like me, the body odor is most likely coming from bacteria waste. I use to have horrible breath too. My diet fixed me up hell of a lot. Your bad breath may come from a number of problems. Either your gut, decayed tooth (have you visited your dentist lately?), tonsil stones and more. However, considering that your tongue is super white I suggest it’s coming from your digestive tract. Do you suffer from bloating / fatigue and flatuence after meals? There are 3 tests to do for intolerance to fructose / lactose and SIBO. They are hydrogen breath test. You are right. I’m not sure if candida is causing everyone’s smell but for me going on the candida diet has greatly reduced my symptoms. The candida diet is essentially starving bad bacteria so they no longer produce the toxin or smell that gives you the fecal body odor. Too much candida might also introduce sugar sensitivy, which means fructose and lactose.   [End]

A week is too short. Be very strict and do the diet for at least 6 months. If it’s not eliminated it will be dramatically reduced. Of course it also depends if your body odor is caused by yeast overgrowth. Do you have jock itch/ dandruff and the occasionally itchy anus. You don’t have to stay on the diet forever, it’s only until the yeast dies off or under control. Try taking probiotics after a good cleansing diet. I started taking it after about 3 months. You will soon start to realise your tolerance for sensitive food gets better by the week.   [End]

Yes you are right! After certain weeks you won’t crave for certain foods anymore like chocolate and bread. I use to crave those everyday and when I cheated I ate a slice of plain bread and it tasted like a treat to me. Candida or just bad gut bacteria ? Yes diet and supplements is definitely the way to go. No miracle cures. If I stay on a very strict diet for a week without cheating my fecal body odor is almost gone because I would get no reactions at all even standing next to someone. SIBO is another test, if you have fructose / lactose intolerant it does not mean you have SIBO. According to my dietitian anyway. Research Sue Shepherds and get her low fodmap diet book. Hi all, I’ll try to keep this as short as possible. This probably started back many years ago , I’d say about 7 years ago. I got comments like ’did you shit your pants’, ’someone shit their pants?’ , ’you need to shower’ and of course the usual sniffing , coughing and weird looks that I get.
