Even the research that you post of below, while pointing out major possible links to hormonal issues, does state that “a direct connection of any particular endocrine gland or hormone with psoriasis was not found.”. Hi Healing2021, Firstly, I’ve been pretty clear in my previous posts in stating that I am not cured yet. During march, when i tried leaving them alone, I didn’t let water run over them in shower, no. I have a shower with a removable head that i can lift off its holder. So i could just aim the spraying water away from the lips. Also tried not wetting them when drinking water, washing face, etc. I left them alone until after mid march when the brittle crusting skin began to hang off and i helped some of it off.   [End]

Yes, I too have had acne problems in the past, pretty severe in my late teens, but mostly cleared up now. When I would pick the skin off my lips prematurely it would agitate the skin around my face, usually making the acne worse. Also, in another post some talked of flaking of the skin in other parts of the face. Alot of the time when I picked/peeled the skin off my lips, flaking would follow in the area between my bottom lip and my chin, and sometimes above my upper lip also. I’m not sure how much input you have into what tests you can get done, but I would be looking at getting more intensive immune system, liver function tests, etc, than are done normally by doctors. For example, most doctors would just test the immune system by doing a blood test and checking levels of white blood cells or other immune numbers. While this checks the levels of your immune defence, it would not show if your immune system is over-reacting, or auto-immune. More extensive tests are out there, such as testing levels of pro-inflammatory immune chemicals, such as cytokines. ...

Wow, strong claim. I obviously don’t have proof to deny what you are saying. What proof do you have to back it up? I’d definitely say that many ”cure” claims out there are bogus. From my own point of view, leaving the lips alone wasn’t enough to heal my condition (i’m not fully 100% yet, but close. The crusting into layers has stopped. See my previous posts, such as the healing update thread). I had the condition for 17 years, and I tried countless times to leave them alone to prolong the length of time the top layer of skin would not fall off. With my own condition my lips would go a yellow colour after crusting for a few weeks. I’ve wondered if this was just due to the flaking skin dying, and becoming saturated with moisture or whatever. Now I wonder if the layers of skin being shed by the lips contain toxic stuff? (I did wonder if future tests could be done on the layers of skin flaking for chemicals, heavy metals, and other toxic stuff. You make valid points, but I’m unsure of the theory of inflammation at a deeper level in my case. I did get a broad overall body inflammation test over a year ago ( a c-reactive protein test, among others) and it showed up negative. I did feel at the time that I needed a more intensive tests but didn’t follow it up. So while I couldn’t rule out inflammation, I feel overall toxicity may play a greater role in my particular case. As regards the massaging of the lymph nodes, I cannot say for sure what effect it has had overall in the improvement of my lip condition, and I don’t know what of all the things I’ve been doing has had the greatest impact.
